Hello once again from the Central Time Zone Headquarters For Jingoistic Right Wing Second Amendment Supporting Conspiratorial West Texans.


A number of months back, a friend whom I have never met, sent me a copy of a book he had written. The title of the book is “AMERICA – AN ILLUSION OF FREEDOM”. I will not go into any depth on the contents of the book other than to tell you that the book deals with how, not only has the Supreme Court taken power in matters which is beyond their scope, but also how Elected Legislative Officials have allowed this to happen with little effort to challenge the Supreme Court.

While this book does contain a great deal of legal language, it is still easy to understand. Parts of the book also reveal the views of some of the framers of our Constitution who cautioned the American Public against any single branch of government having too much power.

The book points out that “ALL FEDERAL GOVERNMENT POWER HAS AS ITS EXCLUSIVE SOURCE THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES.” The book contrasts the Constitution with the Supreme Court’s holdings purporting to interpret the Constitution.

Some of the thoughts of Thomas Jefferson quoted is as follows:

“The question whether the judges are invested with exclusive authority to decide on the constitutionality of a law has been heretofore a subject of consideration with me in the exercise of official duties. Certainly there is not a word in the Constitution which has given that power to them more than to the Executive or Legislative branches.” … THOMAS JEFFERSON – 1815

“This member of the Government was at first considered as the most harmless and helpless of all its organs. But it has proved that the power of declaring what the law is, ad libitum, by sapping and mining slyly and without alarm the foundations of the Constitution, can do what open force would not dare to attempt.”… THOMAS JEFFERSON – 1825

I have said many times that those who try to tell us that we are under the control of 535 people (that would be the 435 U.S. Representatives and 100 U.S. Senators) are wrong. It strikes me as if in a 5 to 4 vote by the 9 members of the United States Supreme Court, we are more at the mercy of that ONE DECIDING VOTE. And of course many of us were fooled in the decision handed down by the Supreme Court on the Affordable Health Care Act. Of course we must also remember that the Supreme Court would never had had to make that ruling had the House of Representatives AND the U.S. Senate been doing their jobs.

It should open your eyes as to what has happened in our country as well as those who allowed it to happen. I strongly urge everyone to read Dr. Nixon’s work. And of course when realizing just how much power the Supreme Court has seized…. remember that our present occupant of the White House has also seized power illegally by the use of his Executive Orders. The branch of government over which THE AMERICAN PEOPLE have most control is the Legislative Branch. Then just look at how poorly they have done their jobs over the past 20 or more years.

Well the Conference Championships have been decided which will match the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl. And of course the NFL has once more outdone itself in lining up a really superb half-time show. In case you did not know, the Half-Time Show for Super Bowl XLVIII will be none other than Bruno Mars and also the The Red Hot Chili Peppers. WOW! Are you all as excited as I over this star studded lineup?

First of all, I would not know Bruno Mars if he were to show up on my front porch….. which would probably not be a very good idea for him, at least I guess it is a him from the first name Bruno. Nor would I know or recognize any of the Red Hot Chili Peppers should they drop by….. which would also not be a very good idea.

The NFL has pretty much ripped their drawers with me over some of their idiotic rule changes which have gone into effect over the past couple of seasons. Then this morning I pick up the pitiful sports page of the (Sub) Standard Times and read where NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has suggested ditching the Point After Touchdown kick. The article went on to say that the NFL has been using the 2 – point conversion over the past 20 years. Commissioner Goodell has come up with what I am sure he believes to be a really great idea. And here it is:

Suggests making a touchdown worth 7, SEVEN, VII points. Then the team scoring the touchdown could choose either to try a run/pass point after touchdown, which if successful would add one more point making it 8 points… AH BUT IF THEY FAILED, then 1, ONE, I point would be subtracted from their 7 point score. Now you and I know that the PAT is fairly automatic BUT it has been part of the game and I have seen some missed or blocked at very critical times, so I guess what I am saying is that I think Commissioner Goodell’s idea SUCKS! But then I think Commissioner Goodell is pretty much a varmint to begin with so my views on him are a bit skewed.

AH, but that’s not all. I listened to an ESPN radio show a couple of days back where some real experts were making suggestions regarding changes in baseball and NFL rules. As I understand it, some form of instant replay is being suggested for baseball. As far as I am concerned, they could do away with instant replay in the NFL and NCAA and have the officials do their jobs. AH, but the baseball instant replay was not their only suggestion. To speed up Professional Football, they also suggested doing away with the kickoff. They did not come up with an alternative but they said that the kick returns were just too dangerous. I guess then you could do away with punts also. They didn’t address what would happen in the event of a safety. They of course obviously didn’t consider the on-side-kick which certainly has played a major role in many important games.

Anyway, in the name of player safety, they are going to ruin the game in my opinion. Of course any rules changes must be voted on and passed by the NFL Rules Committee and thank God, Roger Goodell doesn’t get a vote.

For all who watched the NFC Championship game between Seattle and San Francisco, you already know that Seattle won the game. But actually out shadowing a very competitive football game were the antics of Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman. Sherman is a very good defensive back, no doubt about that. BUT his talent is offset by the fact that he comes off as a self centered egotistical loudmouth brat. Hey! Who does he think he is? The President?

Anyway, in typical loudmouth fashion when interviewed after the game, instead of acting like he was a member of a team, he was more interested in shouting out to the dim witted diva who was conducting the interview about how great he was and how mediocre San Francisco receiver Michael Crabtree was. Now I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I am aware that there are some players more talented than others but one should really give some serious thought before he begins to shout out about himself being the best.

Anyway, my point is this. The last time I looked, football was a team game with eleven men per team out on the field at any one time. I also realize that Sherman made a good play by knocking the ball away from the intended receiver.. but the Seattle linebacker was the one who actually intercepted the ball, not Sherman. Had the linebacker not made the interception, there was still enough time left on the clock for another play. It was simply another case of an athlete showing his ass.
Speaking of athletes showing their asses, I have two words: DENNIS RODMAN
I would like to share part of an e-mail I received from a friend back last week and I think it expresses my opinions down to a T. Here is a portion of that e-mail:

“When I last checked on these sports participation requirements they were voluntary participation, and the participants were grossly overpaid and over pampered. So if they get hurt playing a really rough sport they play of their own volition and for really high salaries and benefits, I kind of have trouble feeling sorry for them and their greedy whining……………… Contrast the professional sports players with our soldiers, who are also volunteers, participate in dangerous operations and who sometimes sustain life changing and even life ending injuries, and at a just above poverty level of pay. Even their post injury treatments, therapy, rehab, etc. is cut by Congress. I don’t see the media covering our heroic and dedicated warriors, rather denigrating them…. So you know who is important to me, and it’s sure not the NFL.”

My thoughts also.
The Democrats/Progressives/Moderates/RINOs/Socialists/Marxists need to ALL BE REPLACED.
