“Murphy’s Law” By Jim Murphy

Greetings once more from the Headquarters Of Jingoistic Vast Right Wing Conspirators Of West Texas.


As most of you know, I am not much of a fan of either Barack Hussein Obama or MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. But as they say, occasionally even a blind hog will find an acorn. I watched a video of a segment of one of Rachel Maddow’s programs in which she actually called out the world’s most articulate and intelligent human on one of his innovative new ideas. During this tape she showed clips of the Obama speech in which he first, blasted the administration of George W. Bush for their illegal approach for fighting terrorism.

SO, the world’s most articulate and intelligent human, who is also the most arrogant and incompetent President during my time on this earth, has come up with a little item which he calls “PROLONGED DETENTION”. This Chicago Con-Man actually tried to tell us that all of this was in accordance with “The Rule of Law”, for which, he incidentally said, the Bush Administration had absolutely no regard.

AH, but the present Administration, under his capable leadership, can be trusted to handle this “PROLONGED DETENTION” in an entirely legal manner. Of course he failed to mention just exactly how he arrived at the conclusion that his program followed “The Rule of Law”. But he went on to assure us that his administration would RESHAPE THE STANDARDS that apply to insure that they are in line with “The Rule of Law”. He also tried to lead us to believe that this entire process of “PROLONGED DETENTION” would undergo the process of PERIODIC REVIEW to insure that any “PROLONGED DETENTION” was carefully evaluated and justified.


But there is nothing to worry about since the world’s most articulate and intelligent human assured us that HIS ADMINISTRATION would work with Congress to DEVELOP AN APPROPRIATE SYSTEM CONSISTENT WITH OUR VALUES AND OUR CONSTITUTION.

You might at this point be asking yourself, HOW LONG CAN THIS DETENTION LAST? Well the Chicago Con Man didn’t address that little matter nor did he elaborate on just exactly what one must do to be ELIGIBLE FOR PROLONGED DETENTION. Ah, but don’t give it a second thought. Barack Hussein Obama along with, I am sure, Eric Holder and other mob ruled members of his staff along with elected Senators and Congressmen/women, the majority of whom care more about their re-election than they do serving the people of their States and Districts, will come up with some really valid acts.

And while Obama tried to make it sound like this would not affect American Citizens who are not part of some terrorist plot, I strongly believe that given the power to INCARCERATE PEOPLE FOR AN INDEFINITE PERIOD OF TIME WITHOUT BENEFIT OF FORMAL CHARGES OR TRIAL BY JURY, these people will surely overstep their authority and incarcerate INDEFINITELY American Citizens who have done nothing more than disagree with the world’s most articulate and intelligent human.


And keep this in mind…. If it is so bad that even a pure varmint like Rachel Maddow is offended, then there is really something wrong with the idea.


I heard someone a few days back talking on TV about how tough some athlete was and I passed it off as just more hero worship. Then I began to think a bit about people whom I have known in the past who I thought were pretty tough but then realized that I thought of them as tough mostly because they were good in a fist fight. And I thought of some athletes whom I have watched through the years who absolutely showed loads of physical toughness. I even thought of myself at one time as being about half-tough.

But the other day when I really began to think about all the folks I have known in my life, I thought of three people who really stand out as being tough. And I don’t mean just physically tough although I would think that all three of my guys were physically pretty damn tough. But I mean just overall toughness where the idea of giving in or quitting, I don’t believe would enter the mind of any of these three.

My first guy, I have not known all that long. His name is Billy and he lives down the street from us. I got most of this information from folks who have known him for years and grew up with him. Billy was raised on a farm in West Texas and attended a small country school. His Father died when he was still in school so in addition to school work he also had to work the family farm prior to his Dad’s death and also being left in charge subsequent to the passing of his Father. Billy worked hard on the farm and additionally began operating a feed lot and raising livestock. The hard work and long hours would have brought most of us to our knees. But he kept on. Then later he married and raised a family and even raised several of his grand children. He ended up getting a job with an individual who is in the oil business. And even today, in his early 70’s he puts in some long hours taking care of a number of pumping locations in the West Texas area. Billy has had to battle diabetes, heart problems as well as skin cancer. He recently had surgery in Dallas and came home last week end. And through it all, he has kept a great sense of humor and is really my idea of a self-made-man. He was not able to attend school after he graduated from high school but is one of the smartest men I know. I am proud to have him as a friend.

My second man is named Roger. Roger was born with a deformed foot and as a young man had numerous surgeries to try and correct his problem. None of the surgeries was completely successful but through all that pain Roger played high school football in West Texas. And I have talked with some folks who played against him and they hold him in complete respect for his courage and his hard hitting on the football field. He also handled the place kicking assignments for his high school team. Roger went to college in West Texas and became a coach and eventually a high school counselor where he worked until retirement. This man has a super attitude and also a great sense of humor and a great memory. He is a pleasure to be around and I really enjoy talking old Southwest Conference Football with him. He still walks with a cane and has to wear special made shoes but never a word of complaint. A real tough guy.

My third man is named Bob. Bob was our neighbor across the street for our 30 years in Hobbs, New Mexico. I always liked this gentle man and knew he had retired from one of the major oil companies. I knew him for a number of years before I found out that he was in the U.S. Army in 1941 and was captured along with some troops from another country near the end of December, 1941. Bob was a Prisoner of War of the Japanese for the entire time of the Second World War. He never talked about it and the only reason I found out was he let it slip one day that he was going to be gone to Dallas for his reunion with his fellow P.O.W.s Several years back his Daughter-In-Law sent me some information on his capture and his ordeal as a Japanese P.O.W. Bob is a small man in size but I can’t even imagine how absolutely tough this man was to endure what he did. Bob is now in an assisted living unit in Hobbs, N.M. Several years back we went to his 90th birthday celebration in Hobbs.

All three of my tough guys are getting on up in years and knowing them all has been my great pleasure and they have all, in their own way, taught me a bunch about what it is to be truly tough. Every time I feel like things are not going exactly to suit me and start feeling like my life is really trying, I try to think of these guys and others whom I know and suddenly my problems seem miniscule. And, incidentally, all three are all mentioned in my prayer list.

Too bad Obama isn’t as concerned about the rights of American Citizens as he is with the rights of Egyptian Civilians and The Muslim Brotherhood. Maybe he better check with Oprah and see if she approves or not.
Speaking of Oprah, I was listening to the morning news today and heard clips of a riveting interview conducted by the world’s most intelligent female with none other than Lindsay Lohan. Boy was I caught up in the excitement of that interview? AND, of course the news announcer didn’t call Lindsay Lohan by her full name…. No it was Oprah interviewing Li-Lo. I won’t even go into my feelings about this J-Lo or Li-Lo or A-Rod. Needless to say, Li-Lo appeared to possess the I.Q. of a School Zone Speed Limit Sign.
On one of the morning news shows I heard the female newscaster discussing the Idaho wildfires which according to this brilliant meteorologist was caused by THUNDER AND LIGHTENING. OK. Now I know that Lightening can start fires. But THUNDER? Apparently this squack is a bit deficient in certain scientific areas.
While I am not a fan by any means, I listened to a speech given by Ashton Kutcher who is a movie actor. This speech was given at the Teen Choice Awards program where he was given the Ultimate Choice Award. I was pleasantly surprised by the things stressed by Ashton Kutcher where he encouraged hard work and he additionally urged the audience to be smart, thoughtful and generous. Pretty darn good advice. So, Ol’ Ashton came up quite a bit in my books.
The OBAMA ADMINISTRATION is still Hell bent on covering up the Benghazi attack as well as the IRS Targeting and the NSA snooping on Americans. Keep on your Senators and Congressmen/women. DO NOT LET THIS CRIMINAL ADMINISTRATION OFF THE HOOK. PUT THE PRESSURE AND DO NOT BE DISTRACTED BY BARACK’S SLEIGHT-OF-HAND. REMEMBER, HE IS A CON-MAN AND WILL LIE CONVINCINGLY TO EVERYONE.
