Hello once again from the West Texas Home For Jingoistic Pro-Second Amendment Four Wheel Drive Owning Fossil Fuel Burners.

INAUGURATION:

I can’t think of any event which was any more poorly reported by ALL the media than was Monday’s Inauguration Ceremonies. I also cannot remember any President of the United States who came across as arrogant as did President Barack Hussein Obama. I must confess that I did not view the entire proceedings from beginning to end simply because my sanity would not permit anything other than small doses of the world’s most articulate and intelligent human.

I was first a bit put off by the so called poetry which viewers were subjected to. Then I was even more put off by the speech made by Barack Hussein Obama where he chose to address subjects like global warming; gun control; and gay rights. I realize that the acceptance speech made during these events is not always entirely honest but at least most of his predecessors made at least an attempt to appear as if they would be willing to listen to AND work in the best interests of ALL OF AMERICAN CITIZENS.

Then we have the matter of the National Anthem being performed (not sung live mind you) by Beyonce. I am quite sure that in many circles, Beyonce is observed as a super talent but all she really needs is a pole and some tassels and she could fit right in at a strip club. As I understand, Beyonce used a pre-recorded voice track to perform her version of The Star Spangled Banner. So even in her pre-recording she appeared to be a bit more interested in displaying the range of her vocal talents rather than sing The National Anthem in a respectful manner. It is a damn shame when the National Anthem performances last Sunday in both the AFC and NFC Championship games was performed in a more dignified manner than at the Presidential Inauguration.

I realize that I am probably more critical of Barack Hussein Obama and his followers than many others but I will try to bear up under this accusation. I simply do not believe that a President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama does not have the best interests of our country in mind. And since I did vote in the presidential election I feel like I have the right to be critical as I want.

FOOTBALL:

Let me begin by first giving my thoughts on this years’ Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens. Insofar as who wins the game, I believe that Rhett Butler said it best; “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn”. Also when I mentioned the National Anthem at both the AFC and NFC Championship game I have to admit that the rock band who did the NFC Anthem did a really good and respectful job on this musical piece. The Anthem as performed by some country and western group at the AFC game was OK for most of the song but they managed to make it sound like today’s country and western music, most of which is unrecognizable as country and western.

I heard earlier today that the family of deceased linebacker Junior Seau is filing suit against the NFL for his death being caused by repeated blows to the head received in his years as a MIDDLE LINEBACKER for a couple of NFL teams. I must point out that as a middle linebacker the greater majority of blows to Seau’s head WERE INITIATED BY SEAU HIMSELF. If you know anything at all about football, regardless of what the rules are now, leading with the head was not only acceptable but encouraged at EVERY LEVEL of organized football.

The main reason I don’t give a damn about this year’s Super Bowl winner is that I am way past being sick of all the extra activities performed by many NFL players either prior to or during the games themselves. On the Baltimore side, I see no possible use to encourage the pre-game introduction dance performed by Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis. Lewis is a very good football player and it appears to me to be unnecessary to act so childishly prior to the game.

And on the same note I absolutely hate the kissing of each of his biceps after 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick scores a touchdown. I have been watching professional football for at least 60 years. Here is a small list of GREAT PLAYERS who did no such antics after scoring OR making a great defensive play:

Otto Graham, Bob Waterfield, Norm Van Brocklin, Jim Brown, Bobby Mitchell, Don Meredith, Roger Staubach, Johnny Unitas, Bobby Layne, George Blanda, Gayle Sayers, Walter Payton, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Dick Butkus, Paul Hornung, Jim Taylor, Ray Nitschke, Night Train Lane, Lance Allworth, John Elway, Barry Sanders, Gino Marchetti, Ronnie Lott and the list could go on for pages. These are just some of the all time great players who did not feel it necessary to show their backsides on national television and I seriously doubt if Jim Thorpe, Bronco Nagurski, or Sammy Baugh did either.

And I am growing a bit impatient with football pre-game and post-game and sideline football analysts who keep telling us that this is just part of the game and that the fans love it. Well, not all real football fans love it or even like it. It is just more television bullshit…. yeah, that’s right, one word.

Keep this thought in mind: BEYONCE is this year’s Half-Time Entertainment at the Super Bowl.

QUESTIONS:

I am not even sure how many Inaugural Balls there were but it appeared that you couldn’t swing a dead cat by the tail without hitting one last Monday evening. Now here is my question:

1) Just how many taxpayer dollars were spent (wasted) on the Inauguration itself AND all the parades and parties and balls? Inquiring minds want to know.

I read an article in the (Sub) Standard Times a couple of days back that said that Russia was being fined $50,000 PER DAY until it (Russia) complies with his earlier order that the country return a Jewish group’s historical books and documents. Now I agree that Russia should return those documents BUT my question is this:

2) Just how much power does U.S. Chief District Judge Royce Lamberth have over the country of Russia? Or for that matter over ANY foreign country? Why not make it $50,000 per minute?

The SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE U.S. CONSTITUTION reads; “A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The FOURTH AMENDMENT TO THE U.S. CONSTITUTION reads; “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.” Now here is my question:

3) Since both Amendments mention “THE PEOPLE” doesn’t it make since that “THE PEOPLE” used in both Amendments mean EXACTLY THE SAME GROUP? So, why do the Liberals/Democrats/Progressives/Moderates/Socialists keep trying to convince us that “THE PEOPLE” in the Second Amendment means ONLY THE MILITIA, while “THE PEOPLE” mentioned in the Fourth Amendment means ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS?

Well it seems as if the stories propagated by by almost every single media outlet that an “Assault Rifle” was used in the Connecticut school murders was NOT ENTIRELY ACCURATE. I remember the first stories I heard said that handguns were used in the shootings and that an AR-15 Assault Rifle had been found in the criminal’s car. And as it turns out, this is what the investigation also turned up. But of course, the truth and the facts should not be considered by media mutts who are trying to kiss up to Barack Hussein Obama and his gun control agenda.

Just prior to the November election and right after Hurricane Sandy, I began to have some serious questions about New Jersey Governor Chris Christie as I observed him kissing Obama’s backside for a couple of days. Although I thought the timing was horrible I was attempting to give Christie the benefit of the doubt and thinking that perhaps he was forced to eat a little crow in order to get some federal assistance for his state.

But after Christie got through bashing the NRA for an ad which they ran on TV pointing out they hypocrisy of Barack Hussein Obama for not supporting armed guards in schools when the school attended by the President’s daughters did have armed guards.

Christie criticized the NRA for mentioning the President’s children in the ad. Apparently Governor Christie could not discern the fact that the ad was pointing out the hypocrisy of Obama and was not trying to degrade the President’s daughters.

I also recall Christie’s speech at the Republican National Convention when he made the speech more about himself and his accomplishments than about the Republican candidate. So, small wonder that Christie joins several other RINOs on the Varmint List.

Now here is a real surprise. A federal grand jury has INDICTED FORMER NEW ORLEANS MAYOR RAY NAGIN on corruption charges. Nagin was indicted on charges that he lined his pockets with bribe money, payoffs and gratuities while the chronically poor city struggled to recover fro Hurricane Katrina. The federal indictment alleges that city contractors paid Nagin more than $200,000 in bribes and subsidized his trips to Hawaii, Jamaica and other places in exchange for his help securing millions of dollars in work for the city. BUT, personally I think IT WAS GEORGE BUSH’S FAULT.

Last Wednesday evening on the Bill O’Reilly program on FOX News, Mr. O’Reilly came out and said that he was NOT in agreement Obama on his gun control efforts. Then after getting on my good side with that observation Mr. O’Reilly said that he WAS IN FAVOR OF GUN REGISTRATION and further suggested that ALL GUN CRIMES BE FEDERAL CRIMES WITH MINIMUM 10 YEAR SENTENCES. In one breath he comes out in favor of gun ownership being in the hands of The States and in the next breath he is advocating that all gun crimes be classified as FEDERAL CRIMES. All Right Mr. O’Reilly here is a question: Since most cities have a MISDEMEANOR ORDINANCE against Discharging A Firearm Inside the City Limits, would you have that changed to a Federal Felony with a penalty of 10 years minimum? If you are suggesting this then you are not nearly as intelligent as many say you are. Also in one of his programs, O’Reilly said that he owned a handgun and that if anyone broke into his home he would KILL THEM. Now that tough talk sounds pretty good on TV but let me see you tell that to the investigating officers after you have shot and killed someone who illegally entered your home. Unless your state of residence is much different than most, you would actually need to show that you were in fear of your life or great bodily harm PRIOR TO USING DEADLY FORCE. But of course, O’Reilly was talking about things of which he knows practically NOTHING.

Earlier today I heard a guy on one of the radio programs talking about today’s education system and about the people who were teaching in our government run schools systems. He said, “They are long on information but short on knowledge.” That was about as good a description as I have heard.
