Quit-yer-belly-aching !!!! By T. Scott

So, the people you wanted to win didn’t quite grab the brass ring – that is no reason for all of the wailing and cries of doom echoing across this land of ours, not by a long shot. Yes, I am disappointed and, Yes, I believe that far stronger campaign rhetoric might have been more productive but in hind sight, this election was decided long, long ago in the smoke-filled backrooms of the political wheeler-dealers.

Taking a look at the demographics of those who voted for the other guy, we can see how his campaign bested the effort we favored and there was really little we, or any of those who believed as we did, could do to change the outcome. Our horse ran well, but not good enough and at times, I thought he ran as a trotter, not as a galloping challenger as points of some importance were not hammered as I would have hoped.

But, that was then and today begins our now – a time for sober reflection, a time to stop finger-pointing and a time to take serious looks at the real messages of the election of 2012. Very sadly, it seems that woman’s issues were far more important than economic concerns with far too many of us. The main concern, Roe vs Wade is law and is not likely to be changed anytime soon and yet, despite the fact that it was and is a non-issue, it was used to drive a wedge into our side of things and this was done very successfully in a manner that denied recovery. Oh sure, it will be talked to death but the likelihood of change is pretty remote and those who grab onto it for dear life are really allowing themselves to be diverted from more serious issues and in this regard, too many took the bait and many major issues never found time to be discussed. What a shame ! With no economic recovery, the matter of woman’s issues becomes moot as the nation is poised for a quantum shift in its under-lying philosophy and, depending how the winds blow, woman’s issues might vanish as more oppressive law limits this so-called freedom of expression.

We also allowed ourselves to be bamboozled as many issues of legal importance were allowed to melt away like an ice cube placed on a hot, asphalt street in the middle of summer. Our Attorney General has damaged the law in ways that should see him dis-barred and yet, without loud citizen concern forcing the issues, many real issues will fade away as our concept of justice takes on new definitions based on the color or ethnicity of the one or ones doing the crimes. We view justice as a tall figure holding a scale and while many of us see that scale tilted severely toward the left, without leadership that decent media coverage might provide, these issues will soon vanish and even the deaths in Benghazi will fade from memory as the economy comes to the fore. It kind of reminds me of Clinton and the stain on the dress – what a marvelous diverting of public interest or concern. Our Attorney General defied the will of the people as expressed by our Congress and he got away with it !! No media advocate dared speak to this travesty – no media person exhibited any sympathy for the families of men slain because of this department’s illicit activities and yet, the matter is like a waning moon, soon to vanish from view

The horrible death of our Ambassador in Benghazi is being dismissed by those responsible for him being where he was, virtually naked – such was the lacking of any protective measure and all we hear from officialdom are lies countering other lies and those at the top of the involved organizations have never been called on the carpet by anyone posing as a stern taskmaster. Life, it seems, is not important to those wearing the Democrat name tag for if just one prominent Democrat stood tall for that which we all know is right, there might be better understanding of this tragic event and those responsible might just receive punishment. Now that the election is over, this situation will vanish from all news as the budget will become the diversion of the times and our thought of ” Liberty and Justice for all ” will simply be gone.

Younger voters had no constructive message to give as they cast their votes against an evil they didn’t understand as they voted for an indefinite future ill-defined by those for whom these youngsters voted. It is this group that will experience the greater hardship unless the job environment undergoes drastic improvement – but the expressed policies of the administration argue against meaningful job recovery as far too many acts of legislature will impose draconian burdens upon our frail business base and the government cannot bail them all out – jobs will vanish, jobs will move away..

Americans need to focus on an understanding of the other side as the lacking of this was the root of the election loss recently experienced. Countless military men have cautioned that one must know the enemy in order to prepare and under abysmal leadership, the Republican Party failed to understand the enemy.

So, we all need to become fully aware of all issues coming to the forefront and to know the cause and effect of each of these legislative items. America cannot stand to be swept aside in the coming years as great issues of today have been allowed to disappear. Citizens who are truly concerned need to marshal their activities in a way that will insure total preparedness for the elections of 2014 and beyond.

We have the same man at the top and we have the same power brokers in the two houses of our Congress. Nothing has really changed except……..except we on the more right side of the political spectrum got caught unprepared – with our pants down as it were, and the future of this nation, under God, depends on this poor preparation never again rearing itself in our America.

May God bless America

Sorry, T, but I figure it slightly differently.

We lost because we couldn’t control what came out of the bullhorn. Romney could have said anything he wanted, the media are in the tank for Obama and the communists, and will not let anyone else win. There was NO candidate that could beat them. None.

Should we talk about a ground game? The unions have had that wrapped up for a long time. We gave them new life with the bailouts, and we didn’t expect that to hurt us? Stupid.

But, you will not be able to say that it was a Democrat congress, and not a questionably-Republican president that we ‘inherited’ the debt from, even though it really wasn’t. Not a dime was spent for a long time, and they could easily have changed it, but didn’t. How do we know? Because they DID change it, to bail out banks instead of homeowners, which is what was voted for.

As long as they get to retell the story in their words, we will lose.
