Wacky, Wunnerful Washington By T. Scott

Remember the Snail Darter? If you were with the many crews busy building dams in the Tennessee area, you’ll well recall how this tiny fish held up the building of the Tellico Dam for many years -escalating the cost beyond expectations. How about the Spotted Own that was used as a Green poster child to hamper logging efforts in our Northwest and was later found to be not quite as endangered as first represented. Now comes a tiny fish, the delta smelt and fear that these little fish won’t have the right amount of water has led California to limit the water available for crop growth in areas already experiencing drought. The effect of this latest move is certain to escalate produce costs, but not to worry – our Green friends are happy that they saved a little fish.

We all know that Green people raise tons of political money and that they are not bashful when they demand results from the contributions they make – heck, that is the game of the game in Washington. What we aren’t told is that the Green folks lie, even to themselves and in the case of wind farms, their lying needs to be probed as they are literally speaking out of both sides of their mouths. Consider, wind farms – we are told – are about as Green as anything and while we have seen massive corruption in the financing of many Green companies, In this one area, it is obvious that potential Green companies have their ropes firmly affixed to the noses of the bureaucrats in our Department of Energy who seemingly have billions of dollars to waste through investing and lending to companies that prove to be worthless. This is one area where the Green people have egg on their righteously pious faces. They lie, and do it badly.

While the true efficiency compared to cost of wind farms can be debated for weeks, if not for months, the one thing that cannot be evaded is the known killing of tens of thousands of birds and bats by these whirling machines – usually erected where there are regular winds – the same winds used for years by migratory birds. Initial calculations tell of as many as half million ducks, geese, eagles, hawks, falcons, vultures, song birds of many types and bats meeting their untimely end from these monster rotating blades. It seems that our diligent government has regularly prosecuted oil companies for events where even a dozen birds are accidentally killed but for reasons only understood in that city of mass confusion, gobbledygook and corruption, Washington,D. C., the US Fish and Wildlife Service has actually proposed a rule to allow the taking – read that to mean killing – of protected bald and golden eagles by these mixmasters in the sky, and while many other species have fallen to these killing machines, our dedicated bureaucrats thought the other birds were of little redemptive value as they were not mentioned at all..

The nerve of the Green movement is laid bare for all to see – all, that is, except for the media that wouldn’t dare comment. How can these people openly declare that a bald eagle has less aesthetic value than does a delta smelt? For that matter, if the Green movement is all for protecting life, how can they alibi the wanton taking of many lives by the erection of Green machines ? If it is the public good that they will fall back on to cushion their deeply flawed reasoning, then the entire environmental movement crusade against coal, oil and many industries must also be accorded the right to exist because of the same public good.

Exxon Mobil paid dearly for the loss of avian life caused by the Valdez incident. BP was financially smacked because of the bird kill caused by their incident. Now, in a new administration, the killing of birds, some once endangered, is given a pass. This is an excellent example of bureaucratic tomfoolery and shows all America that our government is out of control.

Are you out there Greenies? What are you doing to protect these birds? Oh, you consider the slaughter as the price we must pay in order that we have Green energy that is of questionable efficiency throughout the world. What a brilliant cop-out ! Green people should be proud.

Americans should be thoroughly ashamed to support this, or any, organization willing to lie openly while hiding real truths by the telling of added lies. Then again, this administration seems adept at telling us all things that aren’t true while taking giant steps to hide real truths in order that their agenda be able to move forward,

America must do better! Either We The People make government comply with the law or we lose our nation. It is just that simple!

Krauthammer’s Law

“To understand the workings of American politics, you have to understand this fundamental law: Conservatives think liberals are stupid. Liberals think conservatives are evil.” The latter stance seems like a pretty potent firewall against opposing ideas.

Government investigates rancher

Montana Department of Employment, Division of Labor Standards claimed a small rancher (Mike Frisk) was not paying proper wages to his help and sent an agent out to investigate him.

GOV’T AGENT: “I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them.”
RANCHER: “Well, there’s my hired hand who’s been with me for 3 years. I pay him $200 a week plus free room and board.

Then there’s the mentally challenged guy. He works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of all the work around here.

He makes about $10 per week, pays his own room and board, and I buy him a bottle of bourbon every Saturday night so he can cope with life.

He also sleeps with my wife occasionally.”

GOV’T AGENT: “That’s the guy I want to talk to – the mentally challenged one.”

RANCHER: “That would be me.”

Extra: General Motors is becoming China Motors

SideBear: Let’s see how this works. The United States bails out General Motors with billions of American taxpayer dollars (at a loss) and the reward the people get is GM now building their cars in China.

Is it any wonder why the American economy SUCKS!

President Obama Stole Our Money to Keep General Motors Alive by Gary DeMar

“Bin Laden is Dead and General Motors is Alive.” It’s catchy, and it’s a great campaign slogan. “If you’re looking for a bumper sticker to sum up how President Obama has handled what we inherited, it’s pretty simple: Osama bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive,” Vice President Biden said in his attack on Mitt Romney.

Yes, Bin Laden is dead, and President Obama should get credit for following through with using the military to kill him. He should own whatever takes place on his watch. This means he needs to stop blaming George Bush on the economy and take responsibility for our present economic plight. If he wants credit for Osama, he also needs to take credit for high unemployment and low GDP numbers and falling housing prices.

But the General Motors claim is another matter altogether. GM is alive because President Obama gave the company $50 billion that wasn’t his to give or theirs to take and stiffed the stock holders and taxpayers. I could save almost any company using someone else’s money, unless it was Solyndra that flushed $500 million of our money down the crapper. But back to GM and Chrysler:
