Pricing Carbon By Jim Mc

An email to Sen. Lindsey Graham (Lindsey.graham@senate.gov)
Dear Sen Graham,
May I quote a bit of your wisdom: “We’re going to fundamentally change how we price carbon looking at the economy differently than we have in the past. And the goal of this bill is not only to clean up the air but to create energy independence and jobs. The goal of cap and trade was to solve the Al Gore problem. I’m trying to solve the Lindsey Graham problem.” Excuse me, but have you totally lost your grip Senator? With all due respect, your mutterings here are those of a madman.
How do “we price carbon”? What in God’s name are you talking about? What in the world does the Federal Government have to do with some insane, corrupt, Soros scheme to, “price carbon”? “To clean up the air”? Where – Hilton Head, SC; Bozeman, MT; Maui, HI; Southampton, NY? Where does the Constitution direct you to “clean up the air”. Maybe it’s LA that needs your attention.
Sorry, if Government and GOP majorities in Congress had done their job in keeping 5 or 6 million illegals from encamping in SO Cal, their air quality would be just fine too! So how do you do this crap without crushing what little remains of our economy? Maybe endorse the Harvard plan to raise gas prices to $7.00/gal? Yeah. That’ll do it.
“Energy independence and jobs” through “pricing carbon”? Maybe when you have a few moments, you can explain how all that works to those bankrupt “green” states in Europe. Well yes, that “green” may be mostly “gangrene” now, but that’s probably because they didn’t do it Lindsey’s way. Excuse my impertinence but did you ever consider another approach to, “energy independence”? Don’t want to shock you, but this one will require some radical action. It’ll actually involve building about 50 nuclear plants, and developing our own enormously abundant, fossil fuel resources. OK, I know it’s a radical notion compared to miles upon miles of 8 storey high windmills standing slack on a windless day; so just call me crazy. Go right ahead.
How can I break this news to you Senator? None of this twaddle will, “solve the Lindsey Graham problem”. For that you have only two choices: Either it’s the electro-shock therapy, or a long rehab at Jim Inhofe’s version of a Betty Ford Clinic. Here he will break you of your helplessness in dealing with your addiction to Gore’s, global-warming flatulence. Just wanted to warn you in advance though, that you may have to be fitted with some pajamas with very long sleeves there; and spend some time in a room with padded walls. I don’t think that Joey Lieberman or Lurch will be allowed to visit at the clinic. When it comes to freedom, good government and good sense, these two are just what the doctor didn’t order. Don’t worry though. It’ll all work out.
SideBear: I would like to add a few words (more than a few) to Jim Mc’s smack-down of our proverbial RINO-in-Standing, Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Just when conservatives seem to be making significant progress on a issues and the issue of ‘carbon emissions’ is one of paramount importance to the economic health of this country, if it not John McCain than its his lapdog protégé Lindsey Graham who always seem to come to rescue of another hair-brained idea of the left.
Snatching defeat from the Jaws of Victory is a trademark for this gruesome twosome.
At this point for any Republican (???) Senator to buy into the notion that CO2 (carbon emission) is a polluting the air shows the Senator has not done his homework on the subject or has bothered to look at the overwhelming evidence that is out there for all to see. I guess when you live in a cloistered bubble and drink liberal cool-aide on a daily basis you can understand how Graham could join forces John McCain and Joe Lieberman chasing the Holy Grail of cap and trade.
There is no excuse for Graham’s incoherent lack of knowledge on the subject as the Senate’s number one expert on the subject, Senator James Inhofe, runs daily classes on the subject right down the hall.
What Graham-Kerry-Lieberman are proposing is a $1.9 trillion dollar tax and the American economy, a tax that will do nothing for clean air but it will enrich the people who are promoting the greatest Global Warming scam on the public ever seen with the net result of destroying the American economy. (Enter Al Gore and George Soros)
Here is what I got out of Sen. Inhofe’s office, maybe Sen. Graham should sop in there for a little education instead of spending all this time with the mad men on the left.
