The Absurd Report

Heard Dr. Richard Land reading this Krauthammer piece this morning. I’d skimmed it earlier but was struck with Land’s recitation of the column. I was reminded of why Dr. Krauthammer found it necessary to add his “clarity” to the conversation.

We have created a polity here in which honesty is rarely demanded, and where consequences are applied all too infrequently. In this American, “kingdom of self”, epidemic ignorance reigns. Degradation is called, “culture”. “Peter’s” pockets exist, only to be emptied to underwrite the ignoble indolence of “Paul”. America is now considered guilty until proven innocent. America’s friend is their enemy. With few exceptions, the world-at-large is simply irrational, and too often fueled by hate and corruption. Western Europe now cowers in fear of the Muslim thugs in their midst, and so it’s easy for such craven vermin to return to their “tradition” of mindless Jewish vilification.

These philistines and the genetic Jew haters will always find or imagine something for which to indict Israel. So now with their “passionate intensity”,* they bellow or cynically wring their hands over Israel’s, “disproportionate response”. In fact, Israel is where it is today because it has been “disproportionally” tolerant and submissive to world opinion, while serving as the victim of unrelenting Islamic acts of war.

Wherever they are sounded though, the calls for Israeli “restraint”, and all “compassion” for this Islamic franchise of terror and mayhem, at best amount to a suspension of reality. More likely though, such pleas are just another corrupt exercise in support of an anti-Israel agenda. At any rate, Hamas is utterly unworthy of a word of it.

In war, one adversary must impose its might and will on the other. That’s the essence of the thing. Sometimes war’s victims can be called “innocent”, and thus worthy of a level of concern. Very few of Israel’s enemies qualify. Gaza is a republic of death and hate. Why should we mourn the death of a mother, whom, as the world looked away, was preparing her children, to kill the innocent children of another mother? Hamas is a psychotic, blood-thirsty, Iranian proxy. It is nothing more than a gang of homicidal maniacs. They must be treated as such, even by an imperfect Israel.
