How Tyranny Begins By Jim Mc

– Email to Sen. Michael Bennet (D, CO)

Dear Senator Bennet,

May I ask a few questions Senator, before your vote tonight?
Are you really saying that an abjectly dishonest proposal; one that you know will ruin our economy, wreck America’s healthcare, and plunge this Country into a reign of unconstitutional, bureaucratic tyranny; is still worthy of debate in the United States Senate? If an individual came to you with a business proposal, which you knew would place your family’s health and economic future in great jeopardy; would you respond: “Well, let’s talk this over.” Of course not. “But when the foul proposal similarly effects my family, and the families of a hundred million Americans; you are more than ready to, “talk it over.” I’m sorry sir. I’m a humble, uneducated man; so someone will need to explain the logic, and the morality of your decision to me.

I have no idea what’s been said or done to convince you, and others that Sen. Reid’s abomination could possibly be considered, “worthy of debate”, rather than an affront on our national decency, or whatever remains of that. What he has promised to those who are ready to put Party before principle, or what his friends at ACORN and SEIU have promised, to those who wavered. Whatever the case, for the record, may I provide a dose of truth here: Favors and payoffs notwithstanding, this Bill can’t be, “fine tuned? No tinkering on the “public option”, on abortion, or anything else will render this wretchedly massive, freedom-choking, atrocity suitable to be rammed down the throats of an unwilling America.

History will surely remind future generations of this Senator – this Bill is no more “worthy of debate”, than the fox is “worthy” of being invited into the hen-house, just to meet the chickens. Totalitarianism doesn’t pause to check the, “suggestion box”. It must be stopped, while it still can be stopped. The free do not give, “fair hearings” to tyranny.

Anyway, park your decency at the door tonight Senator. Enjoy all of your blandishments and “inducements”, and the big celebration. But just remember this – from this night forward; wherever you go; whatever you say, and however you try to explain; we will always remember that your craven “legacy” to the people of Colorado and to America will be this: When it came time to stand in defense of our freedom, Michael Bennet instead chose to join in spreading the flames. Flames which left our democracy in smoldering ruin.

You must be just glowing with pride sir.
