Global Warming Liars (contin.) Part III

Editor’s Note: The following introduction is a reprint from Part I of Global Warming Liars that was published Monday. If you choose too, just skip down to Part III below.

Recently a gathering of United Nations pimps and prostitutes met in Pozan, Poland for another Global Warming conference to hype Al Gore’s UNPROVEN theory of man-made global warming.

Our former Vice President says that the scientific community agrees “the debate over global warming is over” and the world must act now to save the planet. The only problem with Gore’s scam is very few scientists agree with his theory of man-made global warming.

The global warming agenda is all about a power and money grab by the political establishment in the United Nations who seek world dominance and some corporations and elite investors who seek to enrich themselves at the expense of the common man.

I know most average people do not buy into this hoax but Washington, including our President elect does:

Obama went on to say why he wants to prioritise global warming policies: “The science is beyond dispute and the facts are clear. Sea levels are rising. Coastlines are shrinking. We’ve seen record drought, spreading famine, and storms that are growing stronger with each passing hurricane season.”

and therein lays the problem because many of our mindless elected members of Congress who haven’t had an original thought since they read a kindergarten primer will gleefully go along with Gore’s hoax.

And given Obama’s choices for his ‘energy team’, We the People are about to be scammed.

“The largest threat to freedom, democracy, the market economy, and prosperity at the end of the 20th and at the beginning of the 21st century is no longer socialism. It is, instead, the ambitious, arrogant, unscrupulous ideology of environmentalism.” – Czech President Vaclav Klaus

The truth of the matter is the Earth has been warming and cooling since the dawn of time and in fact since 1998 the Earth has been in a cooling cycle. In the past two years global temperatures have dropped by more than 0.5 degrees Celsius and the 2007 – 2008 was NOT predicted by global climate models.

In fact 2008 was the coldest year of the 21st Century and the U.S., the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration registered 63 local snowfall records and 115 lowest-ever temperatures for the month of October.

But don’t just take my word for it, read on, as I have accumulated an abundance of data on the subject that I will share with you.

Prominent Scientist Fired By Gore Says Warming Alarm ‘Mistaken’

WASHINGTON, DC – Award winning Princeton University Physicist Dr. Will Happer, who was reportedly fired by former Vice President Al Gore in 1993 for failing to adhere to Gore’s scientific views, has now declared man-made global warming fears “mistaken.”

“I am convinced that the current alarm over carbon dioxide is mistaken,” Happer, who has published over 200 scientific papers, told EPW on December 22, 2008.

President-elect Barack Obama proposes economic suicide for US

If the holder of the most powerful office in the world proposed a policy guaranteed to inflict untold damage on his own country and many others, on the basis of claims so demonstrably fallacious that they amount to a string of self-deluding lies, we might well be concerned. The relevance of this is not to President Bush, as some might imagine, but to a recent policy statement by President-elect Obama.

Tomorrow, delegates from 190 countries will meet in Poznan, Poland, to pave the way for next year’s UN conference in Copenhagen at which the world will agree a successor to the Kyoto Protocol on climate change. They will see a video of Mr Obama, in only his second major policy commitment, pledging that America is now about to play the leading role in the fight to “save the planet” from global warming.

Mr Obama begins by saying that

“the science is beyond dispute and the facts are clear”. “Sea levels,” he claims, “are rising, coastlines are shrinking, we’ve seen record drought, spreading famine and storms that are growing stronger with each passing hurricane season.”

Far from the science being “beyond dispute”, we can only deduce from this that Mr Obama has believed all he was told by Al Gore’s wondrously batty film An Inconvenient Truth without bothering to check the facts. Each of these four statements is so wildly at odds with the truth that on this score alone we should be seriously worried.
[…]
Alarming though it may be that the next US President should have fallen for all this claptrap, much more worrying is what he proposes to do on the basis of such grotesque misinformation. For a start he plans to introduce a “federal cap and trade system”, a massive “carbon tax”, designed to reduce America’s CO2 emissions “to their 1990 levels by 2020 and reduce them an additional 80 per cent by 2050″. Such a target, which would put America ahead of any other country in the world, could only be achieved by closing down a large part of the US economy.

Mr Obama floats off still further from reality when he proposes spending $15 billion a year to encourage “clean energy” sources, such as thousands more wind turbines. He is clearly unaware that wind energy is so hopelessly ineffective that the 10,000 turbines America already has, representing “18 gigawatts of installed capacity”, only generate 4.5GW of power, less than that supplied by a single giant coal-fired power station.
[…]
For 300 years science helped to turn Western civilisation into the richest and most comfortable the world has ever seen. Now it seems we have suddenly been plunged into a new age of superstition, where scientific evidence no longer counts for anything. The fact that America will soon be ruled by a man wholly under the spell of this post-scientific hysteria may leave us in wondering despair.

Lawyers call for international court for the environment

Stephen Hockman QC is proposing a body similar to the International Court of Justice in The Hague to be the supreme legal authority on issues regarding the environment.

The first role of the new body would be to enforce international agreements on cutting greenhouse gas emissions set to be agreed next year.

But the court would also fine countries or companies that fail to protect endangered species or degrade the natural environment and enforce the “right to a healthy environment”.

The innovative idea is being presented to an audience of politicians, scientists and public figures for the first time at a symposium at the British Library.

Mr Hockman, a deputy High Court judge, said that the threat of climate change means it is more important than ever for the law to protect the environment.

The UN Climate Change Conference in Poznan, Poland this month is set to begin negotiations that will lead to a new agreement to replace the Kyoto Protocol in Copenhagen next year. Developed countries are expected to commit to cutting emissions drastically, while developing countries agree to halt deforestation.

Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister, has agreed the concept of an international court will be taken into account when considering how to make these international agreements on climate change binding. The court is also backed by a number of MPs, climate change experts and public figures including the actress Judi Dench.

Military Report Questioning Global Warming Frightens Alarmists

If you needed any more proof climate alarmists are an extraordinarily deluded bunch that will do anything to protect their dogma, you got it Saturday when a 56-page report on military strategy incited ire because it included two paragraphs on global warming that don’t perfectly fit Nobel Laureate Al Gore’s agenda.

In fact, all the brouhaha was largely about one sentence: “In many respects, scientific conclusions about the causes and potential effects of global warming are contradictory.”
[…]
Well, actually, not everyone agrees with this. Not even close.

In fact, there’s now over 31,000 scientists that have signed a petition questioning man’s role in global warming. Unfortunately, Bender chose not to cite any of these folks.

I wonder why.

Yet, maybe more comical was how the much larger section of this report that involved the military’s view of energy production went totally ignored:
[…]
So, the U.S. military believes that the expansion of oil exploration, drilling, and refining, as well as the additional production of coal and natural gas, are essential to protecting our national security interests.

Yet, the Globe completely ignored this revelation and preferred instead to focus on one sentence in this 56-page strategy analysis which said “scientific conclusions about the causes and potential effects of global warming are contradictory.”

Anybody smell some hypocrisy?

Will the U.N. Chill Out on Climate Change?
[…]
Before proposing an even harsher treaty the U.N. ought to pay attention to its own climate science. It regularly publishes temperature histories from its Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which was formed in the late 1980s with the express charge of finding a scientific basis for a global climate treaty.

Since Kyoto, a very funny thing has happened to global temperatures: IPCC data clearly show that warming has stopped—even though its computer models said such a thing could not happen.

According to the IPCC, the world reached its high-temperature mark in 1998, thanks to a big “El Niño,” which is a temporary warming of the tropical Pacific Ocean that occurs once or twice a decade. El Niño years are usually followed by one or two relatively cold years, as occurred in 1999 and 2000. The cooling is, not surprisingly, called La Niña. No one knows what really causes these cycles but they have been going on sporadically for millennia.

Wait a minute. Starting an argument about global warming in 1998 is a bit unfair. After all, that’s starting off with a very hot temperature, followed by two relatively cool years.

Fine. Take those years out of the record and there’s still no statistically significant warming since 1997. When a scientist tells you that some trend is not “significant,” he or she is saying that it cannot mathematically be distinguished from no trend whatsoever.

More important, as shown in our Figure 1, there’s not going to be any significant trend for some time.
[…]
Whatever the assumption, even if the earth resumes warming at the pre-1998 rate, we will have nearly a quarter-century without a significant warming trend.
[…]
The bottom line is that the U.N.’s own climate models have failed, barely a year after they were made public. They have demonstrated a remarkable inability to even “predict” the present! Can 10,000 people in Poznan somehow ignore this?

The Bottom Line – Considering the number of scientist who are questioning the validity of global warming crisis and the abundance of reports on file including those in the United States Senate’s; I find it inconceivable that even the light weights in Washington would not have some reservations about this matter.

With that said, one must look in other areas as to why the political establishment is pushing this issue. There can be only one answer to the question.

POWER, GREED and more GOVERNMENT CONTROL!

The political establishment is betting on the Moron Factor that is prevalent in America today. They believe that if they create another crisis (think TARP Bail-Out) that minions will gladly go along. Crisis = Opportunity = Political Agenda = Servitude

But in this case, the Global Warming crisis will put an end to Freedom and Liberty as we have known it.
