I am enclosing this message to you along with the 2009 Republican Census document that was mailed to me recently. Though I appreciate the supposed opportunity to voice my opinion on the 26 questions that were offered in the ‘census’, we all understand that the RNC could care less about the responses to the first 25 questions – after all, one would need to be brain-dead to not correctly anticipate the responses sent to a presumably conservative audience. Understandably, the purpose of such requests is, always has been, and always will be to collect financial support.
This time, however, I am not simply going to toss the survey in the trash. Instead, I am going to focus on Question #26 – “Do you support the election of Republican candidates across the country and the rebuilding of our majorities over the next 10 years?” My response is an emphatic “Undecided”. That is clearly not a concession that I plan to vote Democratic – that party has moved so far in the direction of socialism that they scare the hell out of me and make me sick to my stomach as I watch their deliberate attempts to undermine our constitution and destroy our economy, culture, and country. People like Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Durbin, Leahy, Dodd, Frank, Waters, Sanders, Schakowsky, Kerry, Waxman, etc., cannot be viewed as mere political opponents – they are truly cancers to our nation.
That said, the Republican Party has failed miserably in the past two decades to eradicate those cancers – not only from ‘across the aisle’, but from their own ranks. Your primary focus can never be about winning elections if you do not first return and adhere to the conservative principles that the GOP was built upon. Do you truly understand the detachment and frustration of so many American conservatives with the likes of John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Mary Bono Mack, Mike Castle, Mark Kirk, Frank LoBiondo, Dave Reichert, Chris Smith, Leonard Lance, John McHugh, Dede Scozzafava, Charlie Crist, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc.? And unfortunately, the ‘etc.’ represents way too many more additional liberal misfits in the GOP.
Of course, I support building a political majority – but only with people who don’t kowtow to the basic tenets of liberalism – entitlements, victimhood, and extended careers in political office. As a conservative American, I expect the federal government to focus on protecting my country, to protecting our borders, adhering to the Constitution (and the selection of justices that do the same), application of fiscal responsibility, adherence to our founding Judeo-Christian values, and the utmost respect and protection given to our freedoms and individual responsibility. Until I see adherence by the GOP to those basic principles and a willingness to oppose the advancement of RINO’s, I cannot and will not offer a single dollar to the GOP. To do otherwise would be to continue the charade that has put liberals in power today. Please be a leader and change the game!
