When Will Murtha Apologize?

I will answer my own title question and my guess would… PROBABLY NEVER!

Rep. John Murtha (D) is one of the most despicable members of Congress that has come along in a place where they proudly wear a badge stating “not fit for being a member of the human race.”

It is people like Murtha who trash the dignity of the office they hold. There can be no greater injustice than what Murtha has done to the America Military. He frivolously made accusations about United States Marines accusing them of killing Iraqi citizens in “Cold Blood” which is now known as the ‘Haditha Massacre’.

This resulted in 8 Marines being tried for war crimes and to date 7 Marines have been acquitted with one trial pending. That’s 0 for 7 in Murtha’s game.

These men were jailed and many of their families suffered from financial ruin as they paid out hundred of thousands of dollars in legal defense cost and for what? So Murtha could advance the Democratic anti-war agenda.

There is no question that politics in Washington has reached the bottom of the septic hole when politicians think it is perfectly ok in making false charges to advance a political agenda. The lives of human beings are treated like pawns in a chess game.

Character assassination and the civilization of politics have replaced morals and honesty. This is a sad commentary but we can not ignore the reality of what Washington has come to be all about.

Haditha charges dropped against top Marine

Military Judge Col. Steven Folsom dropped all charges against Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani, who was accused of violating a lawful order and dereliction of duty, at a hearing at the Camp Pendleton Marine base in Southern California.

Folsom’s decision means that, out of eight Marines originally charged in the events at Haditha, six won dismissals of their charges and one has been cleared at court martial.
