The Obama Cabinet

Whatever you think about the names that are being floated around for positions in the Obama cabinet it reveals that our President Elect’s has a lack of experience and accomplishments.
What looks like a Clinton redo comes about because Obama does do not have a political following composed of people who have accomplished anything worthwhile for cabinet positions.
Here are my views on some of Obama’s cabinet picks…
Good (but not sure): It looks like Obama’s pick of New York Federal Reserve Board President Tim Geithner as his Treasury secretary is a smart move.
The only knock against him that I can see is that he has no private sector experience as he has worked solely for government since the start of his career but he was out in front critic of the government’s subprime lending practices.
Bad: Obama’s choice of Arizona’s Gov. Janet Napolitano for head of Homeland Security signals that the Obama Administration is about to try passing “Amnesty” again for illegal immigrants because Napolitano is about as ‘hawkish’ on this issue as anyone he could have appointed. She is against fencing on the border and as governor she vetoed many bills to control illegal immigration.
What is interesting here is why she would seek this position because she is ambitious and seeks higher office in the future. The answer lies in her fiscal policies as governor the State of Arizona record deficit of $1.2 billion dollars and she is getting out of dodge before the voters scalp her.
Ugly: Obama’s pick for Attorney General Eric Holder who was a former Assistant AG under Janet Reno does not lend any credibility to the office of AG. In fact what we are getting a man who was behind the Bill Clinton pardon scandals at the end of his 2nd term.
It was Holder who approved the pardons of 176 criminals, sex offenders and FALN terrorists on behalf of the Clinton Administration.
And who can forget exiled billionaire Marc Rich’s pardon from Clinton and approved by Holder paid for by his wife Denise with cash and other unmentionable goodies.
Eric Holder is not my idea of a guy who would put the Rule of Law ahead of politics.
Bring in the Clowns: Probably the number one cabana boy in recent history of Washington politics is the present Gov. of NM, Bill Richardson who is on Obama’s list for a cabinet position. He rates even higher on the cabana boy scale than John McCain’s personal lapdog Sen. Lindsay Graham the Republican RINO from South Carolina.
Now we all know that most politicians will say anything they can to get a vote but some do it with a bit of finesse, and others like numbskulls in doing so. In Richardson’s case when he is not on his knees kissing someone’s butt he has shown himself to be talentless ineffectual political hack.
Probably the best position for him (when he is not on his knees) would be to team up with Joe Biden as resident class clowns of the Obama Administration.
Freudian Slip: Many theories have evolved as to why Obama would pick Hillary Clinton for Sec. of State and I think this one will prove to be Obama’s big mistake plus this one has me scratching my head. This is like putting a wolf in charge of the hen house.
The State Dept. is full of former liberal Clintonistas of have no problem supplying anonymous leaks to undermine a Presidency and there is no chance of Obama being able to control the Clintons’ as they run around the world making policy.
The Clintons’ will be in charge of foreign policy which is Obama’s weakest link and will run circles around him. Bill will become ambassador to the world, in a world where not big enough to suit these three egos.
The Bottom Line – Barack with very little experience and very limited executive experience conned his way into a Presidency by singing the praises of ‘change’ to an illiterate American Public who bought his platitudes hook, line and sinker.
So far what Obama has offered in a way of a cabinet by picking retreads shows very little in the way of change and whole lot of the same old, same old. Could it be that he has recognized his limitations and is scared to death of making a mistake?
In the meantime there are 63 million morons who deserve what they get and 56 million of us who don’t deserve it.
And reflecting back why so many Clintonistas? Obama could hardly draw on his friends and associates from Chicago for cabinets positions like Bill Ayers, Khalidi, Rev. Wright, Tony Rezko and Father Pfleger which reflects his thin resume.
