Last week Obama exhibited the classic liberal mindset when he said,
-
“The world is no longer going to let us get away with keeping our homes at 72 degrees and driving our SUVs around and eating what we want.”
Just like most of the crazies on the left Obama is selling America short and telling the next generation of Americans that they can not enjoy the same lifestyle that their parents had. This is the typical liberal defeatist attitude that is so prevalent on the left today because it suits their agenda of turning this country into a third world nation.
Instead of teaching the world how to better their lifestyle the Obama’s of this world would prefer America to forsake ours so that we can all become equal. It is a rejection of all the past accomplishments of this great nation.
This idea that that we are all equal is a fallacy because we are not as we all do not have the same individual God-given talents and the only way you can equalize this by dragging down the talented to the lowest common denominator. Where would we be if Einstein was relegated to making horseshoes for the commune and E-Gore didn’t invent the internet?
Yes, we have a present energy shortage but I don’t believe for one minute that it is permanent. It is an artificial creation of failed (Should I say STUPID) government policies that have been designed around placating the religion of environmentalism. It is apparent that there is no meeting the environmentalists lobby ‘half-way’ with some give and take on common sense energy policies for the sake of the country because they are hell-bent on destroying the country. We are letting the inmates run the asylum.
Presently, in the world we have KNOWN (Notice, I said KNOWN) oil reserves for a 200 year supply. Just think about that and go back one hundred years to 1908 and the progress and advancements in technology that this country made are overwhelming. I would venture to say in the next hundred years we will have an alternate source of energy.
In the 16 months since Democrats took control of congress, the price of gasoline has shot up a whopping $1.46 per gallon, marking a record 68.8% increase in just 16 months. And yet Congress fails to act!
Americans overwhelmingly support more domestic production of energy to help ease gas prices and We the People not OPEC or the oil companies control our energy future. We just need the political will to do so.
What the country needs is sound leadership on energy policies and ‘leadership’ is a virtue that is severely lacking in Washington.
My sense is that the American public is madder than hell at everyone in Washington. They have watched Washington dole out earmarks by the bushel loads, paid off political constituencies with favors and the best they can offer is political inquiries of political enemies.
George W. Bush’s approval ratings are at an all-time low at 31%, which is not good for Republicans. But then again, the Democratic Congress’s approval rating clocks in at 18% – the lowest in Gallup’s history.
These are the making of a political upheaval.
It is time to say “Enough is Enough” and say DRILL NOW!
