I am a registered Democrat. I had the privilege of an exceptional, free, public education through high school. I have an extremely diverse group of friends – nobody would EVER call me a racist or bigot. I currently attend a liberal, moderately-sized, private Catholic university in the northeast US. All of this being said, I am 100% opposed to Obama becoming President.

Many of the Liberals who have replied to this article are as disillusioned and prejudiced as they accuse the Conservatives or Republicans of being. To charge that the pro-McCain responses and support come from only “old” or “senior” Americans is just as ridiculous as saying I must not support Obama because of his race or religious affiliation.

I do not support Obama because he was active in his office for a mere 143 days before he launched his Presidential Exploratory Committee. Would you appoint somebody CEO after they worked in the mail room for 143 days? I do not support Obama because as a college student I have worked hard for my GPA, and just as I would not distribute points in my GPA to a friend who was struggling academically, I do not want to be forced to “spread” my earnings to others. I am an extremely philanthropic person, and despite my limited budget as a student, I donate time and money to organizations throughout the year. That is my CHOICE, not something I should be forced to do. Just an aside – Joe Biden made $4 million last year, and donated a pathetic $3,000. There’s a hypocrite if I’ve ever seen one. I do not support Obama because his experience and his policies are clearly lacking. So, for all of you “young and progressive liberals” who are going to change America along with Obama, don’t be so quick to point the racist bigot finger, or you may accidentally reveal yourself for the ignorant pawn that Obama is playing you for.
