Conspiracy theories make for interesting novels when the storyline is not so absurd that it can grasp our attention. ‘The Manchurian Candidate’ and ‘Seven Days in May’ are examples of plausible chains of events that captures the reader’s imagination at best-seller level. ‘What if’ has always been the solid grist of fiction.
Get yourself something cool to drink, find a relaxing position, but before you continue, visualize the television photos of two jet airliners smashing into the Twin Towers in lower Manhattan and remind yourself this cowardly act of Muslim terror was planned for eight years.
How long did it take Islam and their oil money to find a candidate for President of the United States? As long as it took them to place a Senator from Illinois and Minnesota? The same amount of time to create a large Muslim enclave in Detroit? The time it took them to build over 2,000 mosques in America? The same amount of time required to place radical wahabbist clerics in our military and prisons as ‘chaplains’?
Find a candidate who can get away with lying about their father being a ‘freedom fighter’ when he was actually part of the most corrupt and violent government in Kenya’s history. Find a candidate with close ties to The Nation of Islam and the violent Muslim overthrow in Africa, a candidate who is educated among white infidel Americans but hides his bitterness and anger behind a superficial toothy smile. Find a candidate who changes his American name of Barry to the Muslim name of Barack Hussein Obama, and dares anyone to question his true ties under the banner of ‘racism’. Nurture this candidate in an atmosphere of anti-white American teaching and surround him with Islamic teachers. Provide him with a bitter, racist, anti-white, anti-American wife, and supply him with Muslim middle east connections and Islamic monies. Allow him to be clever enough to get away with his anti-white rhetoric and proclaim he will give $834 billion taxpayer dollars to the Muslim controlled United Nations for use in Africa.
Install your candidate in an atmosphere of deception, because questioning him on any issue involving Africa or Islam would be seen as ‘bigoted racism’; two words too powerful to allow the citizenry to be informed of facts. Allow your candidate to employ several black racist Nation of Islam Louis Farrakhan followers as members of his Illinois Senatorial and campaign staffs.
Where is the bloodhound American ‘free press’ who doggedly overturned every stone in the Watergate case?

I received “The Jihad Candidate” in my email today. It brought me back to the fear-mongering lies folks sent by email prior to the last Presidential election. My greatest concern is that Republican candidate supporters, in general, seem to have no qualms about forwarding political material filled with serious inaccuracies and logical fallacies, while the Democratic candidate supporters seem to demonstrate no need to respond. Email forwards are powerful and far-reaching…and potentially dangerous. I would suggest that every thinking person who receives an email with this kind of propaganda promptly click “reply to all” and address the lies, flaws in logic, and flat-out absurdities in an intelligent, non-confrontational manner. Do the research, if necessary — our future may depend upon that.
In personal response to “The Jihad Candidate”, although I could (and would like to) pull apart every sentence in this weak, rhetorical-question-based rant, I will simply address two points.
The phrase that Obama has “…ZERO [sic] interest in traditional American values…” is the most questionable phrase in the entire piece. I was raised by immigrant parents who loved this country beyond what some might consider reasonable, and they taught me that traditional American values differ from other countries mainly in the socio-economic mobility made possible for individuals with merit and/or education. Let us hope most Americans know Obama’s basic biography. He is a man who has built his entire life on that distinctly American value. It was not a family name, or family money, or generational family power that brought him to where he is today — it was Jefferson’s notions of “meritocracy” and “education for all” that Obama took full advantage of (as did his wife). They have worked and lived the real American dream, the rags-to-riches kind of stuff from which novels and films are made. The humanity demonstrated in their embrace of this distinctly American value is that they are working to make it a reality for even more deserving Americans.
And let us consider the traditional American values of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. If Obama wants to bring an end to our war with Iraq, perhaps it is because he holds the value of every human life close to his heart. Liberty? Yes, that does mean religious and other freedoms for all kinds of diverse people who come to call America “home”. We say we value tolerance of differing beliefs, but we demand that tolerance as well from those who choose to live in this great country. Where the Democrats differ most from the Republicans may be in that last notion: “the pursuit of happiness”. Obama, and the Democratic party, do not believe in prescribing what constitutes happiness for individuals. In America, as long as you don’t harm or infringe upon the rights of others, your pursuit of happiness is completely of your own design.
If you feel you must add other elements to our core American values, Obama demonstrates those as well. He is a devoted husband in a long-term marriage to one woman. He is a present and involved father to his children. The family attends a CHRISTIAN church, for god’s sake…
My second and final point: The implied (again, in the form of a rhetorical question) threat that voting for Obama will change the United States of America into “another nation of Islam” displays either an unfathomable ignorance of the American government and its processes, or a deliberate move to ignore the three branches of our government — executive, judicial, and legislative. [Note the same root word in "ignorance" and "ignore".] My daughters could have recited the functions of those three branches of government by the time they were in the 5th grade. Our system of checks and balances was designed to insure against some despot taking control of the country and violating all the previously mentioned values United States citizens hold so dear.
Well, “The Jihad Candidate” does begin with a truth — its two opening words are “Conspiracy theories…” and that is exactly what it spins. But the opening line also includes the phrase, “when the storyline is not so absurd that it can grasp our attention”. Actually, it is precisely the absurdity of storylines such as this that grasp the attention of far too many of our people. If I may, there are actually those who read (and possibly believe) the stories in The National Enquirer . Afternoon talk shows feature their own brand of absurdity that attracts viewers who would be better off exercising their rights to a free public education.
Islam will not bring about an end to American democracy. The American people who cannot or will not discern the absurd from the credible will eventually bring about their own demise.

Show me ONE thing he’s ever done with that education. Again, what has he done with it? You say it wasn’t family power, but his mentors, while not family, certainly took him under their wing, and all of them were communists, members of the Communist Party in most cases, and avowed enemies of the United States, like Bill Ayers. His help came from those who would make him king. He passed no legislation, did nothing but run for office (by removing his competition, easy to get elected when you’re the only one on the ballot, huh?), and has done nothing on his own, ever. Socialism makes sure that everyone is equally poor, and has been proven to do so every time it has been tried. And the lame statement that “it has never been tried with America’s money” is bull. The Soviet Union was rich in resources, but squandered them, killing millions of people, because of their political system alone. And it’s EXACTLY the socialist policies that your candidate embraces that will destroy America and it’s way of life, which, unless you care to show me otherwise, is to be FREE, not bound by governmental chains, a nanny state that will tell us where to go, what to wear, how to think, how high or low our thermostat can go, if it can be turned on at all. No American deserves this, unless they vote for Obama. They don’t need to, they can go to a dozen socialist countries and live happily ever after, paying ninety percent tax rates.

We didn’t add those, they have always been considered values, except by liberals. He’s never been divorced? You say that because McCain has, if your candidate had been, or McCain hadn’t been, it would be a moot point. This is just you trying to find every small difference between them, holding up McCain’s position as faults and Obama’s as hero material. Get real, he’s been raised with a silver spoon in his mouth, he’s never faced the kind of troubles John McCain and others of us have, you put his marriage under those tests, with no political ramifications to consider, it has every chance of failing just like others did. It is not an implied threat, and me explain how we get there. Look around you, all over, Islam is suing for this and that and forcing others to tolerate Islam at the expense of other religions’ freedom. Suddenly, we can’t celebrate Christmas, Easter, and other CHRISTIAN holidays, yet firms are adding Islamic ones. We have to treat Islamic people differently, unless, of course, they sue us for not treating them differently enough, or in the right way. They force the public to tolerate them, while forcing Christians to lose their religous freedom. Again, do the research yourself, and study the encroachment of Islam in America. It’s not the Obama IS Islamic, and will turn it Islamic by decision, but will make decisions that allow the Islamics to take over, as they have in other countries already. And, in case you have been asleep or ignorant (I won’t tell you my opinion of which) for the last hundred years, the seperation of powers has already been breached, and is well on it’s way into the memory hole. The Federal Reserve Bank, Homerowner’s Associations, Child Protective Services, Hospital District Boards, etc., are all examples of groups that have taken all three branches of government’s responsibilities under their purview, making, enforcing, and sitting in judgement of people with NO oversight in most cases.

Their family is 70% white and their values are that of any American praying for a brighter future. Once he was first elected State Senator in 1996, Obama gained bipartisan support for legislation reforming ethics and health care laws. He sponsored a law increasing tax credits for low-income workers, negotiated welfare reform, and promoted increased subsidies for childcare. In 2001, as co-chairman of the bipartisan Joint Committee on Administrative Rules, Obama supported payday loan regulations and predatory mortgage lending regulations aimed at averting home foreclosures. Which has been the downfall to many Americans as we speak. He supports universal health care and has for many years. He’s an advocate for a cleaner inner city and a stronger America. I find the most absurd argument here being the one that equates Nation of Islam of Louis Farrakhan with actual Islam. Nation of Islam is nothing more than a cult started under typical dubious cult circumstances in the 30s. Islam is the 2nd larges religion in the world with a billion followers started in the 7th century. Farrakhan’s group and the vast Muslim nation have little to nothing in common. Furthermore the radical, fundamentalist Islamic terrorists like the Taliban are a tiny (albeit tragically vocal) minority in the religion. Letting them speak for the entire religion is like letting the KKK speak for all of Christianity. Mainstream Islam is a religion of peace and dutiful observance that shares almost no beliefs with Farrakhan’s heavily anti-white teachings. Any ties (and I strongly doubt there’s hard evidence of this but I am not positive so I will allow for it) Barack Obama may have to the Nation of Islam do not lead then logically lead to ties to mainstream Islam or fundamentalist Islamic terrorists. These are not groups that would ever get along–most Muslims view Farrakhan as a quack and scourge. I am not Muslim myself, I was raised a Methodist, I only know these things from a good education and many Muslim friends (who sorry, love this country and despise terrorists that threaten it).
Finally, Barack Obama was born Barack Hussein Obama II and named for his father Barack Hussein Obama Sr. He did not choose his name, his mother did and she passed down his father’s name a common family practice the world over. He briefly adopted the nickname Barry in college at Occidental and went back to his real, given name later in life. If he anything he was trying to hide his black African roots when he went by Barry out of youthful insecurity. No one should have to be ashamed of their heritage and the name their parents gave them. Suggesting he anglicize his name is actually quite racist and ‘racism’ is not some armchair concept you can dismiss. People of one race make prejudicial judgments about a person of another race merely because of the differences between them all the time. The liberals are not just making this social phenomenon up. We can only recommend to you a book by Sheldon, “What Would Jesus Do.” As you may recall, Jesus, was a Jew, born in the Middle East, brown skinned, and preached love and tolerance towards all people of all races. Obama, like us, is a follower of Jesus. He is also intelligent with several academic degrees. You may not be aware that McCain graduated at the bottom of his Naval Academey class. Given these times of fear and economic pril it would be be nice to finally have a competent person as the leader of the free world.

This legislation is the SOLE cause, since it punished banks for not having enough bad debt, literally punished them with fines and restrictions for not having enough low-income and minority loans. This is what’s called subprime debt. Next time you open your mouth about “those nasty bankers and their greed”, the greed hada lot to do with it, but it was people like you that insisted on forcing banks to loan against the basic tenets of good business (damn those capitalists, anyway, right?) which required history or income or both. To this conservative, this is the ONLY bailout that SHOULD be on the backs of the American taxpayer, and not only that, we need to find a way to make the poor (as in non-taxpaying citizen) to have to chip in, too. Everyone benefitted by this economy, and a very high percentage of us refinanced, borrowed money, and benefitted directly by the economy it created. Those wall street types are only collecting on contracts that were agreed upon when they took them, and I’d no more consider taking away those bonuses than I’d consider making you take a fifty percent pay cut, directing it towards relief. In fact, if I could, I’d be more likely to make you pay, and therefore me and every OTHER American, including those who got the bonuses, the SAME amount each.

Doc. No one made the banks make bad loans. They took chances they should not have taken. There are no regulations that state that a bank has to give a loan to someone who does not have a job and no assets.
Most of these bad loans were by the greedy little man right down the street with creative ways of making things look better than they really were. Most of the processing of the loan was done by computer, so if the greedy little man down the street put in the correct information the loan was processed and the borrower got the loan.
By the time the bank or financial institution got all the information on hard copy, if they ever looked at it, the money was already gone with the borrower. Now its time to fish or cut bait. Most of these guys were fishing, because that’s where the money was.

No, we don’t want to hand over ANY money with no strings attached. No, we don’t agree with Bush, once again, but the times we disagree with him mean nothing to you guys. And get this…I have NEVER in my life advocated for a government bailout of anyone, in any situation, ever. Until now. A) Those guys made millions, alright, but they did it by doing their jobs. They didn’t set policy, and, while they might have gotten greedy, greed is good, as long as they obeyed the law. Now, it looks like Raines and Gorelick and Johnson are going to get theirs, but only because they broke the law, and anyone who broke the law should pay. However, I fight for their compensation packages because I’d fight for yours if you had a contract and the firm went under…as in, if they paid out packages for upper management, then they would have to honor ALL contracts. If you don’t like people getting paid millions of dollars, then you should move to some other country, preferrably China, maybe….except they pay people that much there, too, in some cases. Or, maybe you’re just jealous because YOU don’t make that much.
B) Congress is the problem, in every situation you look at, since they were all either doing it by law, or by corruption trying to pass laws to fill others pockets. While the law might be bad, it’s still the law, and that’s the best we can do. Want to stop those laws that hurt us? Stop voting Democrat, since they always try to legislate fairness, except they always want to be more fair to some, which always turns out to be their political cronies/constituents, which is the victim class. If you can’t make them feel like a victim, how do you exploit or scare them, after all, right?
C) You benefitted from this expansion, all of us have. The effects trickled down, flooded down, drove up the real estate market, drove up tax revenues (completely gets credit for the economic surge, in my opinion, drowning the effect of the tax cuts, contrary to most conservatives opinion that the tax cut drove that economic expansion), and was the major effect of the boost in the Home Depot/Lowes phenomena, i.e., the remodeling/real estate flipping boom, the opening of all the home improvement stores of all kinds, the television shows that exploded onto the market, etc. That economic boom went to the grocery stores, to small businesses, to large businesses, to everyone as increased sales, or, revenue, as they call it in the government. This is where they got the money to spend on the social programs I’m sure you demanded. Like insuring minorities (instead of Americans) get something for nothing.
