Quote of the Day… 8/01/08

“The idea that four months before a presidential election a candidate can run through these countries, meet some world leaders, and claim experience in these matters may impress the liberal media, but to me, it exposes just how unprepared for the presidency this guy is… I have never seen a presidential candidate with less to offer this nation—yet with more arrogance and self-delusion—than Barack Obama.” —Rush Limbaugh

When you think about all the immediate crisis’s facing the next president, it is hard to imagine anyone even contemplating voting for someone this inexperienced. Our leaders must not return to appeasement and criminal prosecution in combating radical terrorists.
Here is a perfect example of what I mean by that.
The clock has run out on negotiating with Iran. Iran knows what we know. It’s too late to stop them with sanctions. A few years ago real pressure would have worked. But now it is a case of too little, too late. They have the materials and technology to stay on schedule for completion of their first weapon in as little as 6 months from now but no later than two years from now.
Saddam Hussein gave us one lesson from his miserable existence and it is this: for every country willing to impose sanctions on a country with oil resources, there are at least two willing to work with them through the back door. We know who those countries traditionally have been and others we will never know about due to there successful treachery.
Those who say that Iran would never actually use these weapons ignore the Iranians vows to us and the world. They ignore their brazen kidnapping of British sailors or cross border kidnapping/murder raids against the US in Iraq. The aid provided to insurgents and terrorists in providing deadly IED penetrators. The ongoing support to their proxy armies in Lebanon and elsewhere.
We will have to take the next steps that will ultimately lead to war and the disruption of oil supplies worldwide. The Iranians and their supporters have left the world little choice.
The US and its allies must be fully prepared for this eventuality.
A missile defense program is not only necessary but crucial. Not only would it be irresponsible to cut it, it would be criminally negligent. This of course is only one of the bright ideas that Barak Obama has constantly promised he would implement. For this reason alone he is unfit for command.
The time on the clock has run out it’s just that some have not yet seen this is as truth.
Our next leader should clearly know the dangers and be prepared to act. Obama is clearly not the right man for the job.

I feel I must wholeheartedly and vehemently disagree with you, dad…
“A few years ago real pressure would have worked”
This guy has been nuts all along, and I don’t think sanctions of any kind would have made one smidgeon of difference, especially knowing what we know now, as far as how well the rest of the world honors sanctions behind our backs, and as far as his determination to wipe out Israel no matter what, and as far as Russia and China’s determination to dance with any devil that helps them to defeat the US.
everything else is spot on
