The Absurd Report

Greetings from the West Texas Branch of Right Wing Destructive Attacking Conspiratorial Gun Clingers.

If you thought that much of the Olympic coverage was dull and about three quarters goofy, just wait until you get the full four days of the Democrat Convention in Denver, Colorado. I have watched the coverage off and on for the past three days and of course caught the riveting speeches of Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton. Let me address both of these less than memorable speeches.

First we were subjected to Michelle Obama. Michelle is a reasonably accomplished public speaker, just as is her husband. That is when they both have the benefit of a prepared speech and a tele-prompter. I am sure that many of the liberal/socialist nut bags thoroughly enjoyed her speech and what she was really saying went completely over their heads. One of the things I noticed right off the bat was Michelle’s constant use of the term “You See?”. My wife also noticed this and mentioned it without any prompting from me. As a matter of fact, we watched her speech in two separate rooms. I am sure that many of you also noticed her over use of this term. But what was she actually saying to us when she used “You See” an unusually significant number of times? This arrogant condescending spouse of the “World’s most intelligent and articulate human”, was actually pointing out to us mere mortals that she understood her points perfectly BUT the rest of us needed a little prompting by her in order to comprehend her words. If someone says this to us once or twice, it is not that noticeable but when she has to keep saying this to the “regular people” just to make sure that the masses grasp her thoughts, which I am sure she believes are of Biblical proportions.

And if you think she is through treating us all as inferiors then you better hang on because “you ain’t seen nothin’ yet”, If our country is subjected to a regime piloted by “The world’s most intelligent and articulate human” and his spouse who is firmly convinced that she is at least equal to him in intelligence and communication ability, then we can expect a steady dose of being told just how stupid and ineffectual we are. Now I know that he is a Clinton hack but for the first time, maybe ever, I was pretty well in agreement with Democrat strategist James Carville. Ol’ James wasn’t very charitable to Michelle in his comments after her speech. I’ll be back to Michelle in a while.

Then, just when you thought it was safe to watch the Democrat convention again we were subjected to a speech supporting Barack Hussein Obama by Senator Hillary Clinton. Now while Senator Clinton did manage to mention Barack Obama on several occasions in her speech, the speech was actually about her and her husband. She just can’t help but point out about putting eighteen million cracks in the “Glass Ceiling”. Did you notice how cameras kept showing facial shots of Bill Clinton and Michelle Obama? Of course, Bill Clinton took the opportunity to show just how happy he was that his lovely spouse had done so well in this contest. He made sure that he mouthed the words “I love you” twice while on camera. Give me a break. Once again more phony Clinton antics. Ah, but what I really noticed was the forced smiles and nods of agreement on the face of Michelle Obama when the camera was on her. But the look in her eyes told a different story. She had a look in her eyes like she could have bitten the head off of a salt water crocodile.

In short, Hillary’s act was no more believable than was Michelle Obama’s. I will be interested in hearing the King of Sleaze speak tonight. (Now for those of you residing in the People’s Republic of San Francisco, that would be former President William Jefferson Clinton). I am also wondering what lies will be told by the Democrat VP candidate, Joe Biden. If you remember correctly, Senator Joe Biden has made our Mutt Of The Month list on many occasions.

OK. Enough about the Democrat convention, at least for today. Let me make a final comment on the Olympics. I was pretty proud of most of our American athletes. I think they all did their best. I cannot get too upset with our sprinters as they were completely outclassed speed wise by the Jamaican sprinters. But I sure was proud of our swimmers, our track and field athletes, our gymnasts, our volleyball teams, our soccer, our water polo, our fencers, and last but not least our basketball teams. I was pretty impressed at the way they conducted themselves before, during and after their events. I thought our boxing program was really weak but in retrospect looking at how lame the Olympic scoring system is, they can drop the sport for all I care. And I’ll say it again, subjective scoring really cost both our men’s and women’s gymnastics teams. The young lady from Parker, Texas really got cheated in a couple of events. One event that was pretty well dominated by China was diving. I thought the Chinese divers were way ahead of all the rest. Anyway, I’ll be ready for the next one in 4 years. A quick word about the closing ceremony. The Chinese did their usual excellent job but the closing program got really weak when the flag was handed over to Great Britain and the British portion of the ceremony sucked.

I know that most of you were as upset as I when you found out that Russell Simmons had cancelled his “Yoga Party”. Damn! I was really looking forward to that.

Incidentally, any Budweiser commercial not featuring the Clydesdales should be banned.

Last Friday, August 22, 2008, a Schleicher County handed out three more indictments against FLDS members. It looks like the investigation is finally producing some results. The newspaper did not give any other details. Some of the pre-trial hearings are scheduled on September 8th.

Here is another thing which really upset me this week. I did not get a “Text Message” from Team Obama advising me of the identity of his Vice Presidential choice. Of course, I have no idea how to text message and have no desire to learn how. If I have something to say to someone, I will either send them an e-mail or a regular letter or call them direct. As I understand it, the text message was sent out about 2:30 A.M. Actually Obama’s choice was not a real pivotal moment in my adult life. But this really goes to show just how arrogant this man really is. A couple of days prior to the announcement, Obama, on camera, told people that he had made his choice but that he was not going to make the announcement for another couple of days. Like life as we know it would come to an end if he let us know the name of his VP choice.

First, he had me confused with someone who really gave a crap about which liberal/socialist he choose. Second, his list of potential candidates was fairly laughable to begin with. And I already know how he made the choice: He either had a big wheel or a board with the names of incompetent prospects and either spun the wheel or tossed a dart and he chose the name wherever the dart struck or the wheel stopped. But I think he made an excellent choice. Not for him but for us. As Rush Limbaugh said, Biden is the gift that keeps on giving. There are probably bus loads of tapes and audio clips of Joseph Biden saying really stupid stuff. And I know you will all love it when Joseph Biden is speaking to the American public and slows his speech down and annunciates each syllable so that even the dumbest among us can understand. Biden is almost as arrogant as Barack and Michelle Obama.

For a brief few moments the other morning, I was listening to the Bill O’Reilly radio program. O’Reilly said that he really got upset when he heard any Conservative Talk Radio host refer to Barack Obama as “Barry” or use his middle name “Hussein”. Well, I’ve never called Obama “Barry” but I can damn sure start. And how about this Bill? “HUSSEIN” is his middle name. Also if my memory serves me correctly, the nick name “Barry” was used by Barack Hussein Obama’s friends and family.

Now here are the $64,000 dollar questions: 1) Why does this upset Bill O’Reilly? 2) Why should any of us care? Also have you noticed that Sean Hannity and a couple of other analysts are all insulted because Barack Hussein Obama “Dissed” ;(Now for those of you living in the Freedom Loving Worker’s Province of Austin, that is the new term used in place of the word, “Disrespected”.); Hillary Clinton by not considering her as a VP candidate. This might be the most intelligent thing done or not done by Barack Hussein Obama. And since when should Sean Hannity, or for that matter any real conservative, be upset at a Clinton being passed over for anything? But I must point out that I do not believe that Sean Hannity is a true conservative. I think he is all showboat and probably deserves to be paired with Alan Colmes. So, at the risk of pissing off Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity I am going to make this statement: I am glad that Barack Hussein Obama AKA “Barry” did not pick Hillary Clinton as the VP candidate AND if it was a sign of disrespect, EXCELLENT.
