Greetings from the West Texas Center For The Culturally Sensitive But Somewhat Intolerant Typical White Guys.

Now let me address the issue of “Double Standards”. If you or I change our minds about a particular issue, we are accused by the liberals/socialists of being completely in the dark and totally uninformed about that particular issue.

When John Kerry did the occasional about face in the 2004 election, most conservatives called it flip-flopping. But of course the liberal media didn’t see it that way. They saw it merely as Kerry finally getting the full facts on a particular issue and then making a decision totally based upon solid information.

Now we have Barack Hussein Obama, who is according to the liberal media the world’s most intelligent and articulate being. When Barack Hussein Obama makes a statement and then within a couple of weeks completely reverses his stance, it is reported as “Refining his views”.

So as you can plainly see, we are stupid but far left wing idiots like John Kerry and Barack Hussein Obama are merely “Refining their views based upon solid information.”

That is funny. I seem to remember Barack Hussein Obama making definite statements about troop withdrawal from Iraq and he sounded pretty set to me. I also heard him make definite statements about diplomatic meetings with Iran with no prior conditions. I heard him make definite statements regarding the abortion issue and now he is not as solid on this issue as he was. The media passes it off as Obama leaving himself some “Wiggle Room”. Wiggle Room? Sounds to me like they are just making excuses to misdirect the public view that Obama is changing positions more rapidly than Madonna changes bed partners. The pure fact is that Barack Hussein Obama is changing his position, or at least giving the appearance of changing his position, for purely political reasons and of course since the media is in the tank for Obama, they are “Refining their views” on what this inexperienced doof is really up to.

In short, Barack Hussein Obama is doing exactly what John Kerry did four years ago. Some may want to be politically correct and call it what the politicians call it, ‘Flip-Flopping’. Some may want to go totally in the tank for ‘Team Obama’ and call it “Refining Views.” But I prefer to call it what it really is: LYING TO GET VOTES.

Since I mentioned her name, I would like a show of hands of all who really give a big rat’s rear end about the story of Alex Rodriguez and Madonna allegedly having an affair. OK, I’m waiting……What? None of you care? Good. I am about as interested in that idiotic piece of non-news as I am about the Christie Brinkley divorce hearing. Oh! For those of you who reside in “The People’s Republic Of San Francisco”, you probably know Alex Rodriguez by the name created by the media fools, A-Rod. OK. Let’s ask ourselves a question. If Alex Rodriguez is A-Rod and Jennifer Lopez is J-Lo wouldn’t Barack Obama be B-Ob? Inquiring minds want to know. Then again, maybe they are sort of like me and really don’t give a damn.

Now let’s get to a story with some real meat to it. Yes, I am speaking of the annual ‘Running Of The Bulls’ in Pamplona, Spain. Why is it that every year idiots from all over the world go to Pamplona and stand in front of a bunch of bulls, while wearing these stupid looking white costumes with neckerchiefs and in lots of cases berets, (For those of you who reside in Boston, the people are wearing the white suits, neckerchiefs and berets, not the bulls) then run from the bulls through what look like cobblestone streets and then to top it off are surprised when the bulls run some of them down resulting in injuries to these stupid beings? Don’t they know that trampling people is what bulls do for a living? Do they not realize that most animals with four legs, regardless of their size, are faster than they are? Why do they do this with bulls? Why not have a ‘Running of the sloths’? Or better still, a ‘Running of the turtles?” Or how about calling it what it really is, “RUNNING FROM THE BULLS”? Now with that being said, why do news organizations feel duty bound to report this idiotic practice and act surprised when people are injured? I strongly imagine that the real reason why so many people are injured in this stupid event is primarily due to “Global Warming” which as we all know is largely caused by President Bush.

And don’t forget. The people who are telling us that global warming is a man made occurrence are the same people who were telling us in 1999 that on January 1, 2000, that Y2K was going to wipe out computers globally and life as we knew it would come to an end.

Speaking of the environmental nuts. I was just wondering if it would be permissible to “Throw someone under the bus” if the bus was powered by ethanol or wind or solar energy?

I heard one report earlier this week that big oil companies in the United States have spent more money funding alternative energy sources than has the United States Government. I just wonder what other companies spend billions of dollars in convincing their customers to avoid their particular product?

Here was a piece of good news from Weatherford, Texas. On 7/2/08 a Weatherford jury sentenced a man to a total of 4060 years in the Texas Department of Corrections facility. This was life prison terms, one for each sexual assault conviction plus 20 years for each of 3 sexual performances of a child. Then the State District Judge ordered that all the terms be served CONSECUTIVELY which added up to 4060 years. (Oh, for those of you currently residing in the Freedom Loving Workers’ Republic of Austin, consecutively means one right after the other) Anyway, one piece of good news for this defendant was that he will be eligible for parole in the year 3029. This Texas Judge did good, as did the Weatherford jury.

Let me tell you about a little incident in the City of San Angelo, Texas which occurred last week which is a prime example of just exactly how our society has digressed in the name of cultural sensitivity. At a baseball game hosted by the San Angelo Colts, there was to be a contest in which a diamond necklace was to buried somewhere in the infield and ladies could be a contestant to try to dig up the diamond bracelet using a wooden tongue depressor. The rules were announced before the contest and were announced again immediately before the search began. The woman had to be 18, eighteen, XVIII, diecioho years of age to participate. The rules were clear. The contest began and a young girl found the diamond necklace. The contest was over,UNTIL, they asked her about her age and she said she was 16 years old. So the contest people had to go into a huddle to figure out what to do. It was finally decided that just like at a wedding the 16 year old girl should turn her back to the rest of the women and toss the necklace into the crowd of LEGAL participants which was done. Everything OK, right? No, even though the 16 year old girl told the officials that she understood that she was too young to participate, she wanted to do it anyway and so she did so knowing that she was an illegal participant. So they gave her a couple of tickets to the All Star Game as a consolation prize.

Now this is not big deal but what kind of message does this send to others. It is OK to break the rules if you want to and when you get caught, you will not be punished, you will instead be rewarded. This has become the rule rather than the exception in our society today. This girl should not have gotten the tickets as a consolation prize. And I just wonder if her parents or relatives were also at the game and knew that she entered this contest illegally. A sad commentary on our times. Anyway, my friend, Mike Thompson wrote a pretty hot letter to the editor of the San Angelo Times. We just wonder if they will have the guts to print it?

This morning I was listening to the radio and I heard some sound clips of Barack Hussein Obama from one of his appearances within the past couple of days and I believe he was speaking before LULAC (League of Latin American Citizens) and in this clip, the worlds’ smartest and most articulate being proclaimed that immigrants would learn English but what was of a greater concern to him was that ‘your children should learn to speak Spanish’. What is of greater concern to me is that a person who could be elected as the President of the United States would let blind ambition and a thirst for power become stronger motivation than his desire for honesty. And he is doing this with little fear of broad criticism by the mainstream media. Has he ever once really told us how this country plans on paying for all of his ideas for change?

Last week on July 4th, I spent most of the day watching the History Channel and the History International Channel. The History Channel had a series of one hour programs titled “The Revolution” and it lasted from that morning until about 8:00 P.M. On the History International Channel at the exact same time they were running a series titled “Washington’s Generals”. They were both excellent and I hope they show them both again. At some point in both of the programs they addressed one particular Revolutionary War American General. The programs were not exactly the same but the information presented was very similar. The name of this General was Daniel Morgan. I remember reading about General Morgan and found out additional information about him and then later that evening went to the Internet and pulled up some sites regarding this great man.

Daniel Morgan had been in the British Army as a young man and at some point in time was a wagoner and was doing his job not to the liking of a British Lieutenant who struck Morgan with the flat of his sword. Morgan retaliated by knocking the British Lieutenant out cold. It was said that as a young man, Daniel Morgan ,who was described as about 6 ft and heavy build, enjoyed boxing and physical sports. The result of the knockout of the Lieutenant was a court martial and 500 lashes. They say that Morgan took his punishment and later told friends that he had beat the system as the person giving him the lashes had actually miscounted and only gave him 499 lashes. He said that he had come out ahead as he had received one lash less than sentenced. Morgan later joined the the American Army where he distinguished himself. He was with Benedict Arnold in Quebec. He was captured by vastly superior forces. When it came time for him to surrender, he refused to turn his sword over to the British commander but rather gave it to a civilian religious leader. He and other prisoners were released later in a prisoner exchange. Morgan distinguished himself at both battles of Saratoga. Later in the war he defeated superior British forces under one of their top cavalry leaders, Lieutenant Colonel Banastre Tarleton at the Battle of Cowpens in South Carolina. Morgan commanded experienced but untrained militia and 300 Continental regulars. They said that Morgan’s leadership and tactics were responsible for the defeat of the British.

His biographer wrote,”Daniel Morgan is a prime example of what one can accomplish with one’s life if one works hard and plans well. His strength and spirit, his frank and manly bearing, his intelligence and good humor, set off by a rich fund of natural wit, which he kept in constant exercise, rendered him a favorite among the people, and contributed to give him a great influence over his associates.”

Anyway, that day was NOT wasted watching the usual garbage which they call programming. I also drug out and read a copy of the Declaration of Independence and read about what all happened to the men who signed this document. Every one of them was under danger of being hung for treason by the British Crown. As Benjamin Franklin said, “Indeed we must all hang together, otherwise we shall most assuredly hang separately.” Many of the signers lost their entire fortunes and had family members imprisoned and tortured. It is hard for me to believe that those brave souls who signed and fought for our freedom and sovereignty could have ever believed that our government could have ended up like it is at the present.

I saw a film of a very pretty Texas lady who was testifying before a Senate Committee regarding the Second Amendment. She had seen both of her parents murdered in a restaurant by a madman with a firearm. This young lady brought out the fact that the Second Amendment was not about hunting ducks or hunting deer or hunting anything. She said she could not be mad at the people who manufactured the firearm responsible for her parents’ deaths. She said that the Second Amendment was about people like her being able to protect herself against criminals. The she summed it up by telling the committee that it was about “Us being able to protect ourselves from all of you.” She put it about as well as I have ever heard.

Marie said “I pulled a switcheroonie on them.” She said that she did so because as a black, she just doesn’t feel American. Now also joining her in this special MUTT award I must include every member of the City of Denver government who was on the stage and didn’t either walk off or have something to say about it IMMEDIATELY. Looks to me like political correctness has bitten the City of Denver, Colorado right square in the butt. Good enough for ‘em.

Well I guess that about does it for the week but I must tell you all that I looked at a really cool handgun this past week. It was a Smith and Wesson, 460 S & W. It is of course a revolver. A large revolver. A heavy revolver. It has a five shot cylinder and will shoot 3 different rounds. The 460 S&W of course; the 454 Casull; and the 45 Long Colt. A really cool pistol for one to cling to.

But for now I must go and attempt to locate the telephone numbers for Sean Penn, Donald Sutherland and Bruce Springsteen to try and make sure that I am on the right track in my thinking. After all these three master minds have been recently interviewed on foreign policy matters so the must be really up on the subject.

Of course if I can’t locate Sean, Donald, or Bruce I guess I will just have to be content to do what I feel is right and continue to support the Vast Right Wing Attack Machine while clinging to assault weapons if at all possible.
