“Murphy’s Law” By Jim Murphy

Hello once again from the Regional Headquarters of Vast Right Wing Conspiratorial Anti Global SUV Driving Gun Clingers.
Lots of stuff this week to make good conservative Americans want to burst into flames. And I must tell you that for the past eight years I have as a general rule been on the side of President Bush in many areas. Not all but many. This week, however, I was a bit puzzled at some of the statements he made on his European tour. In one of his interviews he made the statement that he “Regretted” his prior statement about bringing in Osama Bin Laden,’Dead or Alive’. Now if he had meant to leave the ‘Alive’ option off, I could have accepted his statement. But he went on to make some other rather uncharacteristic statements which really made him sound like a wimp. Then when his Secretary of State started getting on the Israelis for building new homes on the disputed West Bank, I began to wonder if the Bush Administration had fallen into this ‘Dialog with the enemy’ and this ‘Can’t we all just get along’ mentality.
I was listening to Monica Crowley on the radio one morning and she pretty well answered my question. As many of you know, Monica Crowley worked in the Nixon Administration. Now for those of you who are still residing in the “People’s Republic of San Francisco”, President Nixon was the elected President Of The United States between Lyndon B. Johnson and Jimmy Carter. Monica said that President Nixon had told her many years back that almost every President in his first term wants to be viewed as a ‘Warrior’ but about the middle of his second term decides that he wants to be viewed as a ‘Peacemaker’. I thought about that and I believe that is a pretty good description of what is going on with President Bush now. So it appears that President Bush is now more interested in his “LEGACY” than he is in leading our country. Now I am not saying that President Bush is ready to abandon our military as is Barack Hussein Obama and the majority of the Democrat/Socialist Party, but his driving interests have changed as apparently have his priorities. At that, I would take George W. Bush at his absolute worse over Barack Hussein Obama at his absolute best, which I believe is still incredibly sub par.
Since we are on the subject of Barack Hussein Obama, I read and heard earlier this week that this incompetent doof wants to PAY these deadbeat fathers for accepting responsibility for their child/children and are making their child support payments, etc. Damn! Wonder where the money will come from? Do you think perhaps it might be from the rest of us? Now if Barack Hussein Obama is elected and gets this idiotic program off the ground then I think that many of us are due some payments. You see, paying their child support and accepting responsibility is the ‘Right Thing To Do’. So with that as a guidepost I have come up with a few circumstances which I think might result in you and I being eligible for government handouts. Here are just a few:
-
1. There is not hardly a day goes past that I don’t have the urge to slap the crap out of some rude idiot. But I don’t, so shouldn’t I be compensated?
2. Almost every day I see pedestrians in various parking lots who are in my way and generally blocking traffic. I could run them down with either my SUV or Pickup. Bit I don’t, isn’t that worth something?
3. Every day that goes by that I don’t take something which belongs to someone else just because I would like to have it is certainly worth some type of government stipend, isn’t it?
Now you might say, Hey Murphy! Why should our hard earned tax dollars go to pay you off for obeying the law and doing what is right? To that I say that you are all absolutely correct, doing what is right and legal does not deserve any type of special consideration and damn sure doesn’t deserve a government hand out.
I guess that Barack Hussein Obama never stopped to look at it quite that way though but if elected this is one of the idiotic things he will get past the liberal/socialist bozos in the Senate and House.
How about our Supreme Court? In a 5-4 vote they have decided that foreign terrorists being detained get the same rights as someone who passes a bad check. I know that we have all read that our Congress, 435 members of the House of Representative and 100 U.S. Senators ( For those of you living in the Freedom Loving Workers Paradise of Austin, that would be 535 total) are the ones in control of our lives. I am of the opinion that we are at the mercy of 5 liberal Supreme Court Justices. FIve of these people just decided that terrorists who want us dead deserve the same Constitutional Rights as United States citizens. What must we do to convince these 5 liberal Justices that these terrorists are NOT mere criminals; nor or they conventional soldiers; no they are TERRORISTS who are NOT citizens of this country and DO NOT deserve the same rights as United States citizens. Of course while we are at it, we might try to also convince Barack Hussein Obama who I am sad to say stands a very good chance of being elected to the most powerful job on the planet.
And while I am speaking of the 535 members of our Legislative Branch, I could not help but think how absolutely absurd it was on their part to believe that their threatened law suit against OPEC in the World Court would be viewed as anything but a complete joke to the’Global Community’. Yeah boy, that would get the price of gasoline at the pump down overnight wouldn’t it? I imagine it would be just about as effective as their idiotic ‘Windfall Profit Tax’ idea. And some wonder how the Republican Party lost control of the House and Senate.
Speaking of the Republican Party, I was watching one of the early morning shows today on FOX News and one of the people whom they were interviewing was a so called ‘Republican Strategist’ who was talking about how the Republican Party had become the “Party of the past” and in order to get with the times should be more in tune with attempting to diversify their thinking. Now this AIRHEAD, I believe her last name is Hoover, went on to say that John McCain needs to diversify his choices for Vice President. She did mention the name of Bobby Jindal but immediately said that he was just 36 and probably needed more experience. Then she threw out a couple of names which immediately made me gag. Those names were; Mel Martinez, a Republican Senator from Florida and Kay Bailey Hutchison who is a Republican Senator from Texas. Now in the past year, BOTH of these people have made the MUTT OF THE MONTH list on more than one occasion. It was Mel Martinez, Kay Bailey Hutchison, and more of their ilk who by their voting habits pretty well managed to give away the Republican majority in the Senate. I have received several replies from the office of Ms. Hutchison and know exactly how it feels to be talked down to. Now I know that she did not write the letters herself but it was done by some staffer who I am sure shares the good Senator’s views. Anyway I thought this pretty but fast talking airhead’s ideas once again showed that more of our politicians and their strategists and advisors are more interested in political correctness than they are in right and wrong and competence.
Now I am not trying to indicate that this Hoover woman was not very bright but rumor has it that she was soundly beaten in a game of ‘Scrabble’ by a grapefruit.
I also heard this morning that a couple of the people with whom Barack Hussein Obama communicates regarding foreign policy were John Kerry (Buckethead) and Richard Clarke of 911 Commission fame. Boy that’s two good ones. Do you see what we are in store for should this clown be elected.
Let me also mention that his wife Michelle Obama was a co-host of “The View” earlier today. I would like to be able to give you all an in depth report on how that went but, you see, in order to do that I would have had to have WATCHED “The View” and that is not about to happen. I had rather be pecked to death by the AFLAC Duck than watch a program who has as one of its main stars an incredibly ugly woman who is named after a cushion which makes a noise like someone breaking wind when sat upon. (Now for those of you who live in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts, that is a whoopi cushion. You will have to go to Wikipedia to find out who the celebrity is.)
Oh, before I forget, I heard Al Gore in a speech in which he was introducing Barack Hussein Obama say that this year, the Democrat Party had ‘The strongest field of candidates in history.’ And we are expected to listen to what this guy says regarding the climate of our planet? Looks to me like ol’ AlGore should maybe hang around with the Hoover airhead as it seems like she will go for just about anything.
OK. Here is the question: Where could you go and see the following football people?
-
Wade Phillips - Head Coach, Dallas Cowboys
Mack Brown- Head Coach, University of Texas
Mike Sherman - Head Coach, Texas A & M
Art Briles - Head Coach, Baylor (Formerly coach at University of Houston)
June Jones - Head Coach, SMU (Formerly coach at University of Hawaii)
Darrell K. Royal - Former Head Coach, University of Texas
Plus one of the largest gatherings of high school football coaches in the country.
Easy, the annual Football Coaches’ Clinic in San Angelo, Texas.
This clinic started out in 1971 with about a dozen coaches getting together in San Angelo to discuss the coming year and to get ideas regarding various aspects of the game. This year there were about 2,000 in attendance. And here is a little something I thought was pretty interesting. Whenever one of the coaches who is a featured speaker has to cancel for some reason or other, they immediately call on Dallas Cowboy Head Football Coach, Wade Phillips to fill in and he does so willingly. His dad, Bum Phillips was one of the mainstays in this clinic for many years and was a real class guy. Evidently so is Wade. Anyway with the San Angelo Football Clinic and the annual fall copy of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football hitting the news stand at the same time, Football Season is now officially open at the Murphy house.
I also listened to a report earlier this week in which a guy was explaining how Federal Regulators were able to get the politicians to pass legislation requiting banks and lending institutions to make loans to people who could not qualify under normal circumstances. Most of these borrowers were members of some minority group or other and were borrowing much more than they could afford. Of course since the institutions by law were forced into making these loans to persons who could not qualify under normal circumstances and ended up defaulting on the loans, why should it surprise anyone that there was a sudden glut in home repossessions? Now of course, some politicians, like say for instance, Barack Hussein Obama want to pass this on to the taxpayers. And if he is elected will do so.
ODDS AND ENDS:
Earlier this week I heard a report that legislation in California was going to ban bonfires on beaches as this could be a major cause of global warming. Beam me up Scotty.
Paris Hilton is allegedly working on a reality based TV show which will be aired on MTV. What’s it going to be called? “How To Be A Rich Slut”?
Captain Cook lost 42 of his 98 man crew to scurvy on his first voyage to the South Pacific. By 1795 the importance of eating citrus was realized and lemon juice was issued on all British Naval vessels.
The shortest war on record was between Britain and Zanzibar, it lasted 38 minutes.
MUTTS OF THE MONTH:
BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA; MICHELLE OBAMA; and then there is all the rest.
Last week, all we heard about for about 3 whole days was about the death of Tim Russert. Now I am sure that Mr. Russert will be missed by his family and friends.
But there was another death which was not covered but thanks to one of the good people on my mailing list I did receive notice of the passing of Donald Largent who was residing in Phoenix, Arizona at the time of his death. He was 71. During the War in Vietnam, Donald and his wife Joy ran a phone patching system on his own time, free of charge so that our military personnel could talk with their families back in the states. He also had served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. He and his wife had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Let us a say a prayer for his family and thank his wife for the good thing they did for our military.

She is the daughter of our neighbors who live across the street from us in San Angelo.)
QUOTES:
“George Washington might have become our king, but chose not to. His governing idea was that government is our servant because we are inherently free. It is an idea too many in government today forget.”…DICK ARMEY, Former House Majority Leader
“One of these candidates will determine what we are going to do to stop Iran from going nuclear- - or whether we are going to do anything other than talk, as Western leaders talked in the 1930s,” …DR. THOMAS SOWELL
“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. “… LEO NIKOLAYEVICH TOLSTOY
Well I guess that about does it for this week. The time is coming closer when a decision will be made on whether or not we can have an opportunity to continue to exist as a free nation or whether we will be governed by a socialist President, socialist controlled Congress, or 5 socialist Supreme Court Justices. I urge you all to get out and work for John McCain. We cannot afford even four years of Barack Hussein Obama.
I am so distraught that only hugging an assault rifle or two can bring me back to my senses. Well I guess that is not the only thing, if the gasoline prices at the pump would suddenly drop to below $2 per gallon I could probably start to feel pretty happy.
Later
JEM
