Hillary and Obama – Are They Our Political Opponents or The Enemy?

Not being one to mince words, I’m going pounce on the correct answer first and explain myself as I go – just in case anyone gets the mistaken impression that it took me more than 3 seconds to formulate an answer. The emphatically correct answer is that they are not an opponent, they are an enemy – they and their far left cohorts have no more business being elected American government office holders, not to mention President of the United States, than do Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky, George Soros, William Ayers, Joseph Stalin, Mao Tse-Tung, Fidel Castro, Marshal Tito, Che Guevara, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, Ward Churchill, and on and on and on. To treat them as an honorable opponent only fortifies their perceived legitimacy.

For those Democrats who have already been offended by the first paragraph, please take heart in knowing that you are unmistakably represented in this year’s election – the candidate’s name is John McCain. For sure, McCain has liberal leanings on some key issues such as immigration and campaign financing that make it difficult for me to look at him as a well rounded conservative. But make no mistake about the fact that he, in the mold of Democrats such as FDR, JFK, Scoop Jackson, Harry Truman, and Zell Miller, is an American who places God and country above himself – he understands that his role is to serve this great country – not the other way around. If that defines your underpinnings as a Democrat and not an overdose of America-bashing, victimization, and entitlements, you will unquestionably find him to be an admirable, capable candidate.

Let’s get back, however, to the aforementioned Leftists. We can thank our lackluster public education system for no longer being able to produce graduates who recognize socialism or communism (let alone define it) when they actually encounter it. Then again, it’s not a surprise that this myopic condition is a logical outcome of a system of public educators who espouse unionism, a socialist tool, for their labor organization. Far be it from for educators to have to earn or merit their advancement when they can rely on the opiate of unionism to produce and encourage mediocrity in their profession. After all, a merit-driven profession might just create some winners and some losers – and, oh my God, what would these teachers do if they had to prove their worthiness? Instead, we’ve evolved to this mind-numbing and mind-succumbing socialist practice that weeds out competition and stymies competitive zeal. Is it any wonder that this pathetic public education system is more focused on achieving equality (as in mediocrity) than in optimizing the learning experience for every student? Since when do we measure success within our education system by the ability of at least 55% of each and every minority and income group to meet or exceed standards? And if they don’t achieve this embarrassingly low standard, additional resources are allocated to address the deficiencies. Translated, that means that those of us that take the time to emphasize academic results must pay for those who don’t – that is not compassion, that is depriving resources to those that have earned them – that is a tenet of socialism.

Of course we can also thank our mainstream media(MSM) for perpetuating the charade of our socialist candidates such as Hillary and Obama. The MSM allows and even encourages the highlighting of extreme right-wing conspiracies/efforts in political dialogue, but never do we hear the opposite labeling for the Left – let alone its (MSM) association with their political darlings. There is no mystery as to why the most diabolical of world leaders prefer if not support the advancement of America’s Democratic Party candidates – they (Hamas, Chavez, Ahmadinejad, Jimmy Carter (sorry, he’s supposedly one of us), etc.) recognize the kinship and, more importantly, recognize the weaknesses.

But back to the candidates themselves. An interesting number coming out of the Pennsylvania primary was that 48% of registered Democrats did not vote. The Democratic Party’s spin on this was that the turnout more than doubled from that of 4 years ago. What I find encouraging, however, is that in this extremely combative and heavily publicized primary that nearly half of the registered voters could not commit to or care about selecting a candidate. When one non-voting Democrat was asked, “If a gun was put to your head and you had to vote for one of them, what would you say?” The non-voting Democrat’s response was “Shoot.” I’m sure that if any journalist had the guts to ask Obama about his thoughts on this response, he would offered that it was just another example of “typical white guys” who were more interested in hunting and God. Hillary, on the other hand, would most likely have just blamed it on the Republicans and/or Rush Limbaugh. Could it be that there is actually a substantial portion of Pennsylvania’s “fly over” country that recognize socialists when they see them?

Someone needs to explain to me how one of our major political parties has decayed to the point that character is no longer a prerequisite for candidacy to the Presidency (or Congress, state government, or the mayoral posts in Detroit, San Francisco, Berkeley, New Orleans, etc.). Just once would I like to see one of the frequent Fox News guests such as Laura Ingraham, Newt Gingrich, or Michael Steele go on a 5-minute tirade to completely and utterly denigrate and verbally rip to shreds the worthless likes of Alan Colmes when he offers that most ignorant of responses and says “But why must we dwell on guilt by association – why can’t we just address the issues that matter?” Nothing speaks more volumes about today’s Democratic Party than that comment – character truly doesn’t matter to today’s Democrats – it’s all about reclaiming and maintaining power.

How is it that the MSM can overlook the relationship of Weather Underground murderous bomber William Ayres and Barack ‘Obomba’? How can they turn a deaf ear to a relationship of a major presidential candidate instead of pursuing the truth? The truth is that the answer is self-evident – that Ayres and ‘Obomba’ have a mutual admiration and commonality of ideas. The truth is that Barack Obama has no interest in preserving our republic or our democracy. When BO speaks of equality, he does not speak of it within the context of equal opportunity as a citizen of this country – rather he speaks of it in terms of equal possessions, whether you are a citizen or not, of all that the government provides. Earning and achievement are not words you will hear from his vocabulary – he is about cultivating a victimization mentality in order to sabotage free enterprise and capitalism and to eventually obliterate the existence of capitalism in favor of a socialist economic system that thrives on entitlements and mediocrity.

Barack Obama and the MSM insult every bit of our intelligence when they tell us that his jackass pastor’s so-called “sermons” were taken out of context. Ironically, these pleas for context are very much Clintonesque – only liars of Clinton’s stature would be so emboldened as to expect us to accept that form of political crap. The real point is, just as with Ayres, the people with whom you surround yourself and with whom you confide speaks volumes of about your own character – or lack thereof.

As for Hillary, she could have truly made progress during the Obama “coming out” period by keeping her mouth shut, but we know that would be too much for the Queen B. Like her husband, she lies until she’s caught lying – then she just waits before tries it again because she firmly believes we are too stupid to remember her lies. What is most amazing relative to this brazen woman is that no one is willing to discuss publicly the humiliation of what she was willing to endure in order to attain power. Any spouse that would tolerate the numerous infidelities of their mate as she did in order to not disrupt her pursuit of her coveted trophy is as void of character as is her spouse. Little does she understand what a statement of character she could have made had she walked out on him – and still have been able to pursue her ambitions. But, suffice it to say, Hillary does not possess character nor integrity. But that will not stop her – and it’s hard to say what will – she will simply continue to lie about her 35 years of experience (cleaning up after her husband’s bouncing zipper), seek out victims to whom she can promise lies about opportunities, and ignore those on the Right (whom she detests).

I am at a total loss when I try to understand how any American can justify that either Obama or Hillary will be healthy for our country. It could be a very trying election campaign for conservatives, not only because McCain is essentially an old-fashioned Democrat, but because he also is unwilling to take a hard line stance against the so-called Democratic candidate. That might be acceptable if both parties offered candidates that believed in character, believed in national security and the preservation of this republic, and a belief that this a country united under God. But the fact is, there is no common ground between the two parties – both of the Democratic candidates are void of character, have no interest in nor any idea of how to maintain national security, and feign the existence of a country united under God. John McCain is the only candidate that has given evidence of any degree of character, evidence of serving his country as a soldier and politician, and a desire to continue our Judeo-Christian heritage. Such departure from his Democratic rival, no matter who it turns out to be, does not define that rival as merely an opponent – instead, they truly need to be viewed as an enemy that threatens all that we value as a nation – that needs to be not just defeated, but decimated – to do otherwise will likely cause a decaying from which we will never recover as a nation.
