Sleeping with a Kennedy

There is no question that intimacy with a loving spouse has a profound effect on one’s character and that is why I highly recommend for a conservative to never marry a liberal.
Now, I never considered the Governator a conservative but I did believe Arnold Schwarzenegger did have some right leaning attributes. His marriage to Maria Shriver, a Kennedy, has caused the California Governor to lose his mind through indoctrination. One must assume that all Kennedy’s are as liberal as can be.
His latest proposal for universal health care is the ultimate Utopian dream of all liberals who only deal in dreams; not reality. So if you wonder where the Governator got this wild idea, one has to only look as to who he is sleeping with.
Evidently the Governor did not do his homework before he came up with this proposal which will guarantee a state with revenue problems to go bankrupt in no time at all. Universal Health Care has been tried before in The State of Tennessee; it is known as “TennCare“.
Patrick Poole wrote the following in an American Thinker article……

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger kicked off his first full term in office this week by announcing during his state-of-the-state address that he intends to implement a state health insurance plan to cover all residents, including illegal aliens. But before riding the universal health care train too far, Gov. Schwarzenegger might want to make a stop in Nashville to see exactly how such a plan has actually worked for Tennessee, where that state’s abysmal TennCare program has forced dozens of hospitals out of business, pushed thousands of doctors and other health care professionals out of the state, destroyed any semblance of competitive health insurance market, and nearly drove the state government into bankruptcy.
Tennessee’s disastrous experiment with universal health care coverage began in 1994 in the wake of Hillary Clinton’s failed national single-payer plan.
(snip)
The catastrophic consequences of the TennCare experiment have been the dramatic lowering of the quality of health care statewide due to numerous hospital closures and the exit of countless doctors and health care professionals to other states, the neglect of many other critical areas of the state budget to cover TennCare costs, and the utter devastation of the health insurance market in Tennessee.
Patrick Poole authored a study identifying the glaring problems with TennCare.
I highly recommend you read this article in full because the Democrats are going to be pushing this idea again.
But not to be outdone by HillaryCare the Governator went one step farther by including illegals into his Universal Coverage plan. Is this not an invitation for all “migrants” to pack their bags and come to California which will only compound the problem of illegal immigration?
John Fund had this to say in the Wall Street Journal …..

Arnold Schwarzenegger used to claim he admired Ronald Reagan most “because he stuck by his principles when others wouldn’t.” But with his Rube Goldberg health plan Mr. Schwarzenegger has demonstrated that at his core he prefers roles more suited to Tricky Dick than the Gipper. Should he succeed, the long-term dream of nationalized health care held by Ted Kennedy, and Hillary Clinton, will be closer to reality than ever.
Do you think Uncle Teddy got into bed with these two?

Has Arnold Schwarzenegger jumped the shark?
When politicians break their pledges not to raise taxes, they come up with the darnedest evasions. Take Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who wants to levy new charges on California doctors, hospitals and employers to help pay for his $12 billion health-care plan. “It is not a tax, just a loan, because it does not go for general [expenditures],” he told the Sacramento Bee last Thursday. “It goes back to health care.”
A loan? The first reaction of many Californians was: What state office will I be able to go to and get my loan back–perhaps with interest? It’s preposterous, for example, to characterize as a “loan” the 4% payroll levy the governor wants to impose on employers who don’t offer health benefits. California’s gas taxes are dedicated to transportation but no one would call them “gas loans.” Property taxes go to local education. Are they not taxes?
The over-the-top absurdity of the Schwarzenegger statement led Rush Limbaugh into fits of laughter last Friday “Bill Clinton calling [tax increases] ‘investments’ was bad enough,” Mr. Limbaugh says. Bruce Bartlett, a free-market economist and harsh critic of the Bush administration, thought he’d heard all the euphemisms for a tax hike (”revenue enhancements” and “solidarity payments” are classics), but he allows that “calling one a ‘loan’ is new.”
