Patsy, a reader asks, “Will Hillary be President?”

Good Morning Bear:
I’ve recently discovered your blog, it’s excellent. You and your writers are folks who understand what makes this country great. Furthermore, you have keen insight into and knowledge of the politicians elected to represent the citizens of the United States of America. Politicians who, with few exceptions, betray their Oaths of Office every day of their terms.
I recently read your two part column about “What to do” and you are absolutely right about everything. I am resolved to get far more involved than simply contributing money to various conservative causes and the Republican Party from now on. You have convinced me that if we are to change this government, it is going to require more of all of us. As Newt Gingrich is always saying, “Real change requires real change.” That starts with me.
I have for one question for you, Bear. After everything the Clinton’s have pulled, all that we know about their misdeeds and malfeasance, the dishonor and ill-repute already brought to the White House by Bill & Hillary Clinton during his two terms, do you think the American electorate can be fooled into voting for Hillary? I, for one, do not believe the American people are that damn dumb, that they will be fooled by them again. What do you think?
Best Regard, Patsy
Will She?
Being the eternal optimist that I am my immediate reaction to your $64,000 question would be, NO! BUT…. Any rational thinking person should realize that the possibility certainly exists.
The Clinton political machine is a formable foe and only a fool would underestimate the Clintons’. When Hillary recently said, “We know how to win”, it should be a wakeup call for all Conservatives and Republicans because, yes, the Clintons’ do know how to win.
The “We” she refers to is obviously BJ Clinton who could talk the pants off of… never mind I won’t go there. Bill Clinton is a very unique individual and I do have some sick sense of admiration for him for being able to pull off the greatest con job on the American public since the flim-flam man. And rest assured he will be out there campaigning for his loving spouse and we will get that two for one pitch again.
Hillary Clinton without Bill is like a ship without a rudder and she knows it better than anyone.
The political landscape in American Presidential politics today guarantees Hillary has already has in her back pocket about 40% plus of those who will vote for President. A likewise amount is guaranteed to the Republican nominee. So the next President will be determined by those voters in the middle who call themselves ‘Independents.”
But from 40% to 50% is a huge hill to climb for any nominee. When George Bush beat John Kerry in 2004 by a margin of 51% to 48%, Bush received about three million more votes than Kerry out of about 121 million votes cast. This was heralded as ‘mandate for Bush’, a big win but it was a lot closer than many realize. The election was determined in Ohio which Kerry lost by less than a hundred thousand votes, if Kerry had won Ohio he would be President today. (Scary isn’t it?)
So I think it is safe to assume that we are in for another cliffhanger in 2008.
And here is another factor from 2004 that has this old anti-Hildabeast concerned. John Kerry received 54% of the female vote. Can she sell the idea of a first female President to the ladies? Females by their inherit nature tend to dislike war more so than men and are willing to give up more of their liberties and freedoms in exchange for security. Had women had the right to vote in 1776, I seriously doubt that there would have been a revolution. The founding fathers knew this better than we do today.
Another concern of mine is that Conservatives and Republicans may get a false sense of security from Hillary’s 49% “Unfavorable rating.” This is an usually high number for a candidate but it is still less than 50%. After Hillary feels she has the nomination locked-up, (And some of her recent statements suggests she believes it is already a done deal) she will decidedly move towards the center, she will talk about faith and family values and promise every free entitlement program she can think of to woe voters in the middle. It is called buying votes through lies and deceit.
How to Beat the Hildabeast
When the Democrats tell you who they are, what they think, and what they intend to do, believe them. When Hillary speaks, pay close attention to her words, as you will here the words of a confirmed liberal-socialist-Marxists-Commie who wants to be called a progressive now.
It is our job to take these words and inform the American public that this is what you will get if you vote for Hillary. I am betting on the American public who views on life, family and what they want for the country are right of center and an informed public will not go along with Hillary and her Democratic friends on what they have in store for us. (See SideBear below)
A history of Hillary’s political statements can be seen here…..
Ignore their straight face Oscar performances when they tell you that the “Support the Troops” because their recent and past history betrays such claims. Winston Churchill once said about the French people that they are pacifist by nature; this described their unwillingness to fight the Nazis. This also describes today’s Democratic Party who are the leftovers from the 1960s hippie generation.
The second part of our job will be to convince Conservative and Republican voters to vote with their head and not their heart. There is no next Ronald Reagan on the horizon.
Both Rudy Giuliani and Fred Thompson have shown in recent polls that they could beat Hillary in 2008 and I wouldn’t mind seeing both of them on the same ticket. If Republican voters dismiss Rudy because they don’t like his stand on abortion they are not using their head because there is very little any President can do about the existing laws allowing abortion. It is matter that can only be settled in Congress, it is Congress, the Legislative Branch of government who write the laws.
Probably the most intelligent and astute politician in the Republican Party is Newt Gingerich but Newt is unelectable and can’t beat Hillary, so instead of wasting a vote from your heart, use your head because this woman has to be stopped.
And isn’t it about time to end the Bush-Clinton-Clinton-Bush-Bush 20 year reign in the White House.
Real change requires “Activism” on all our parts and will not come about in one election cycle. But 2008 is a good as a time as any to start. Our battleground is the internet and we can use this tool to effect change by e-mailing articles and links to your friends and as ask them to pass it along. An informed pubic will STOP HER NOW.
SideBear: Patsy also pointed to this statement by Hillary…..
-
“The unfettered free market has been the most radically destructive force in American life in the last generation.”– First Lady Hillary Clinton on C-Span in 1996 stating her troubles with the free market
“We can’t afford to have that money go to the private sector. The money has to go to the federal government because the federal government will spend that money better than the private sector will spend it.”
Patsy: One thing puzzles me about Hillary, in particular, and all liberals, in general: Why is it that we’re smart enough to make the money but not smart enough to know how to spend it?
What a great line she just coined… How about the Political Quote of the Day?
The question can be answered with one word…..CONTROL… but of course you knew that.

Thank you Bear for an excellent column in response to my email! You are so right that we must get our butts to the polls and make sure our fellow Republicans do the same.
We also need to make sure as many folks as possible see the truth about Hillary by sharing the information we uncover about her. We can defeat her! But we have to work hard if we’re going to do it!
Cordially, Patsy
