Evening Update Election 2006: Things are really screwy out there

Pollsters are admitting that they are having trouble getting their results. The problem seems to lay in two areas pollsters’ only poll people with land lines and many people no longer use landlines.
Secondly, people are hanging up, that’s right, hanging up. They have been deluged with get out the vote calls from the candidates and will not accept any more political phone calls.
The Latest Polls results are all over the map and this is just is one example of many…….
In one race VA, I found George Allen up in three polls and down in three polls and in one House race Tom Reynolds was down 15, and is now up 5.
And this is enough to scare the hell out the guy who made Nancy Pelosi’s new drapes. Two House seats that where supposed to be automatic Democratic wins former Mark Foley’s Florida seat and Tom Delay’s Texas seat are now rated as toss-ups in one poll. In both these instant’s the Republican candidate does not even have their name on the ballot.
Basically, what I am saying, there is no consistency in the polls.
And as Harry R. Jackson, Jr. said, “If the Democrats do not gain significant traction in this mid-term election, they will be deemed so nationally impotent that no form of political Viagra will help them in 2008.”-
