The Coming and the Prayer

Last week after the dog and pony show by put on at the United Nations by Venezuelan Dictator Hugo Chavez and President Ahmadinejad of Iran, I said this about Chavez, “I think it would be a mistake to dismiss Chavez as some irrational nutcase because this is all part of a well orchestrated plan.

But that is not necessarily the case with Ahmadinejad, both he and CITGO Louie are masters are playing up to the world media who can’t get enough anti- American slurs. Ahmadinejad present a particularly disturbing problem because he soon may have his finger and a nuclear button.

Few people paid little attention to the last few words of Ahmadinejad speech at the United Nations and this understandable because he has a tendency to ramble on forever. The words he delivered where in the form of a prayer for the return of the Twelfth Imam or the so-called “Hidden Imam.”

The return of the Twelfth Imam signals the end of the world with his return the world will be cleansed of all injustices by killing every human being. Whether he comes in on a wing and a prayer or a camel across the desert, he is due to arrive in two years according to Ahmadinejad.

He believes he is a direct descendent of a fictional character, the Twelfth Imam.

Considering his belief in the “coming” and statements he has made like, “If he lost half of the population of Iran to wipe Israel off the face of the map, it would be worth it,” one has to wonder if we are not dealing with a certified ‘nutcase’ with a nuke.

Whether this is all rhetoric or the honest beliefs of a man who should be in a padded cell is unknown at this time but it sure looks like to me the inmates are running the alyssum.

“It’s time for the United States to leave the United Nations and spearhead the formation of a new, more workable international consortium… On Wednesday, our president—and ‘our’ includes Americans who do and don’t like him—was verbally assaulted before the United Nations General Assembly in a manner more befitting a wrestling match than what is supposed to be a solemn gathering of the world’s nation-states. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez insulted President Bush by saying ‘the Devil was here yesterday,’ and ‘it smells of sulfur still today.’ That’s right. This dictatorial brute came to our own New York City and spat in the face of our president. And the attacks didn’t stop with Bush. Chavez declared that ‘the United States’ empire is on its way down, and it will be finished soon.’ How did those in the audience react? Many roundly applauded when he was done.” —Matt Towery
