Of Monkeys and Apes By the Bear

There is a story spinning around the internet that just cracked me up. The Spanish Socialist Party has announced “The Great Ape Project” and has introduced a bill that monkeys and apes be given the same legal protection as humans because they share very similar genes.
There is some merit to the report, although I believe has been embellished, but what struck me is they have a solid point. Have we not elected a whole bunch of these human offspring to the Congress in the United States?
