John Kerry: A Dishonorable Disgrace

“You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”-John Kerry
This is from a man who sent five months in Viet Nam collecting Purple Heart medals for scratches and demanded to be sent home after five months.
This from a man who testified before Congress 30 years ago that the American Military committed war crimes and atrocities in Viet Nam which where later where proven false.
This from a man who several years ago accused the American Military of terrorizing women and children in Iraq.
This from a man who 639 days ago, John Kerry promised on national TV , to sign form SF-180 and release his military records. He has yet to do so.
This from a man who believes himself to be an elitist and one of heads of a political party who despises the American Military.
This from a man who doesn’t know what he is talking about and refuses to apologize for demeaning the very people who serve and protect this country.

A High-Quality Force
Over the past three years, the quality of recruits to the U.S. military has improved, a finding contrary to the conventional wisdom that troop quality has declined.
“Those who have been so quick to suggest that today’s wartime recruits represent lesser quality, lower standards, or lower class should be expected make an airtight case,” Tim Kane writes. “Instead, they have cited selective evidence, which is balanced by a much clearer set of evidence showing improving troop quality.”
Kane’s analysis considers the household income, level of education, race and ethnicity, and regional origin of military recruits.
“U.S. military recruits are more similar than dissimilar to the American youth population,” Kane finds. “The slight differences are that wartime U.S. military enlistees are better educated, wealthier, and more rural on average than their civilian peers.”

This from a Viet Nam veteran
Watching John Kerry and the democrat pundits try to put spin on his horrific misstatement is something to see indeed. One must not forget that this guy was chosen by the partisans of the democrat party to lead it and be the 2004 democrat presidential candidate. He represents the best and the brightest of the democrat party, those very same people that have all but claimed victory in the 2006 election scheduled for next week.
Is that what you want to lead the House of Representatives, the Senate, or even be your local dog catcher? I think not! Thank you Swiftees! Thank you Viet Nam Vets Against Kerry! Thank you Viet Nam Veterans for the Truth! -Terry L
For those who haven’t seen or heard about it, this was a recent statement by John Kerry, from which he is now backpedaling so fast he might get a speeding ticket. It speaks volumes about what the Democratic Liberal Elite think of our troops.

And this from John Kerry who refuses to apologize….
-
The people who owe our troops an apology are George W. Bush and Dick Cheney who misled America into war and have given us a Katrina foreign policy that has betrayed our ideals, killed and maimed our soldiers, and widened the terrorist threat instead of defeating it. These Republicans are afraid to debate veterans who live and breathe the concerns of our troops, not the empty slogans of an Administration that sent our brave troops to war without body armor.
Update: Sen. John Kerry: ‘I Apologize to No One’
Sen. John Kerry has refused to apologize for his remarks suggesting that U.S. troops in Iraq are uneducated and not “smart,” instead charging that the White House has deliberately misconstrued his comments.

Talk show hosts across America knelt down and gave thanks yesterday for the gift of Senator John Kerry, whose cultural condescension keeps on giving. A week before Election Day, his fellow Democrats may have had a different (unprintable) reaction.
The American Legion and various Republicans, including John McCain and President Bush, all criticized Mr. Kerry for his comments a day earlier to a student crowd in California: “You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”
We didn’t always do our homework, but it’s hard to come to any conclusion other than that Mr. Kerry was saying that only fools and knaves, not patriots, end up fighting in Iraq. Mr. McCain said the Senator should apologize. But Mr. Kerry instead issued a statement so over the top with invective toward his critics that we wonder if some Republican secretly wrote it to make Mr. Kerry look un-Presidential. Then yesterday Mr. Kerry held a press conference delivering more of the same, and claiming that he was merely attacking Bush policy, not the troops. We don’t have space to reprint all of this, but we commend you to OpinionJournal.com for the complete implosion.
For reasons clear only to himself, Mr. Kerry has been acting as if he intends to run for the White House again in 2008. Apparently he thinks he can win. We’ve long thought that Democratic donors would soon enough convince him otherwise, but his behavior this week may speed up the reckoning. Congratulations, Senator Clinton; another competitor bites the dust.
