France licks Hezbollah’s boots at the U.N. By the Bear

When things get tuff, the tuff gets going. Then there is the French, when things get tuff, you can count on them surrendering.
In a not so surprising development at the U.N. cease-fire negations the French did a 180 about face on the U.S.-Franco agreed upon cease-fire plan. They are now siding with Hezbollah demands that before any cease-fire can take place Israel must withdraw from Lebanon. This would tantamount to national suicide on Israel’s part.
So with this the French will break for lunch and sip some fine wine and the war is guaranteed to escalate. Instead of wine what the French need is a good dose of testosterone for a society full of geldings.

There is another axiom for American diplomats who have to deal with the French, always stand with your back to the wall, as this will prevent inadvertent stabbings.
